During a bidding competition, I found myself in a creative conflict with my arch-nemesis, Kaden Sutton. Suspecting him of plagiarism, I planned to get him drunk and make him confess the truth.
But to my surprise, after he got drunk, he confessed to me for two whole hours. and he even pinned me against the elevator wall, causing my dress to become disheveled.
His hot, heavy breaths tickled my ear, saying, "Hallie Morley... I can't wait any longer."
"But we... we're siblings." I said.
Kaden and I were part of a blended family, having been siblings for six years, so even the fluttering emotions of adolescence were suppressed by the legal bond of kinship.
However, my dad and his mom were really unreliable, and they couldn't make it through their marriage. They ended up getting divorced.
Without any blood relation, we naturally ceased to be siblings after the split.
"Kaden!" I said.
The elevator doors opened, and we hadn't separated yet... the kiss was so intense that something exploded in my mind, leaving it blank. then I couldn't believe I hadn't pushed him away.
His house had a fingerprint lock, making it ridiculously easy to enter. We kissed all the way to his doorstep, and once inside, his hand slipped under my dress.
"Wait... hold on!" I finally started to react, realizing how surreal the situation was, "We can't..."
Kaden didn't give me a chance to speak, sealing my lips with his again, saying, "Hallie... call me honey."
