BLAKELY,
'Run... run faster, Blakely! You have to escape him!'
That was all I had in mind while running towards nothingness-naked and scared. It is too dark, I didn't know which direction I should go.
Soon, I realized I was on the coast. But why? And what am I doing here?
'Blakely!' I heard Jaxon's loud voice calling my name. He sounds angry, not worried or anywhere near.
I should be happy and relieved that my boyfriend was here. He must be looking for me. But I didn't feel the urge to look back. Instead, I wanted to run away from him.
But why? Why did I want to run away from the man I loved?
'Come back here! I'm not yet done with you!'
I heard him again. Great fear creeped down to my core. I wasn't sure what was going on, but my instinct told me I should run.
And I continued running without looking back. I don't know this place and wasn't sure why I was here. But my fear screamed danger and I had to save myself.
I saw a speed boat coming in my direction. I stopped, beckoning the sailor over with both my hands. I recognized the sailor and was genuinely relieved to see him.
'I am safe...' I murmured to myself.
But someone suddenly grabbed me by my waist.
'You can never run away from me, Blakely. You are mine!'
"NOOOO!"
I shrieked as I jumped out of the bed-gasping for air.
"It was the same dream again,"
No, it was not just a dream but a nightmare that haunted me for over a year.
I forced myself to calm down. But I couldn't. It would take me a while before I could.
A loud knock on my door, and I quickly became a totally different person. A person everyone knew. The spoiled and only heiress of the Green Food Corp.
"Ms. Blakely, Madam wants to know if you are dressed up already," the maid inquired outside my door.
"Dressed? For what?"
Oh, shit!
I suddenly remembered the occasion. We were invited to the biggest wedding anniversary celebration of the year. It was Master and Madam Wright's 38th wedding anniversary!
The Wrights are the prominent and leading family in the world of business. And their business empire is one of the giants in the industry. Everybody in the upper class feared and respected Master Wright-even my family. And luckily, we were always on good terms with the Wright. Why the hell not? Our business was at the peak of success also. And the Master of the Wright family only wanted to befriend a successful household.
"Give me ten minutes!" I loudly shouted and quickly moved to fix myself.
I never loved banquets and formal occasions, but surely, Mom would never spare me from not coming with them.
"WHAT the hell was wrong with you?!" Mom silently scolded me.
The splendid banquet was held at one of the largest ballrooms in the Wright Hotel. Everything screamed luxury. But it still bored me to death. I wasn't a fan of fancy things since I was used to them.
"I'm tired, Mom." I shortly answered and didn't want to trigger any arguments with her.
It wasn't even half an hour since we came here and I wanted to leave. I just couldn't even.
Being the only princess of the Green family, I always got what I wanted. But not in a situation like this.
My parents would surely cut my bank cards if I didn't cooperate with them. At the age of twenty-two, I had never tried my hands in our company. And besides, I just graduated from college. I just wanted to take it easy before I started getting serious in life.
