On a sunny day that had entered spring. A pair of bright brown eyes closed on the sheet of paper before her; Mora had just finished her meeting. She had been on a business trip in Canada for almost a week. She couldn't wait to return to New York and see her beloved husband, Carlos Holland.
"Mrs. Mora, would you like some coffee?" asked Kinsley, Mora's secretary.
"No, Kinsley. I have to stop consuming caffeine from now on; Carlos and I are planning to have a child this year."
"Congratulations then, Mrs. Mora; hopefully, you and Mr. Carlos will be blessed with a child soon."
Mora felt happy surrounded by good people who always prayed for her and her husband's relationship. However, there were also not a few who sneered at Mora's marriage, who had not been blessed with a child even though she had been married for almost four years. These things do not make Mora feel sad because she always gets loving support from Carlos.
"Why hasn't Carlos given a wedding anniversary greeting? Did he forget today's special date?" Mora kept glancing at her cell phone. There was no single message from her husband, Carlos; there was only last night's message, and there was no message this morning.
Mora didn't want to think badly either. She knew that Carlos was also busy. After all, Mora will fly early today to celebrate her wedding anniversary with Carlos. Mora glanced at the clock on her wrist; she had to get ready to leave immediately using a private plane. The trip was short; it only took a few hours.
She didn't go straight back to the mansion. Mora decided to go to her husband's office, bringing Carlos's favourite cheesecake. She couldn't wait to see Carlos's surprised reaction, which would not be expected with his return today. After arriving in front of the Holland Compration building, Mora took out a few bills for the taxi.
She took a quick step, smiled kindly at anyone who passed by, stepped into the executive elevator,r and hit the 40th floor, the CEO's room, which was her husband's position. Mora took out a cheesecake inside the elevator and placed a candle on it. Once in front of the CEO's room, Mora asked Grace, her husband's secretary, to keep quiet because she wanted to surprise Carlos.
The door opened slightly as Mora almost touched the doorknob to surprise her husband. She heard female and male voices talking inside; Mora thought Carlos was talking to a business partner. But when her footsteps wanted to turn around.
"When are you going to divorce Morana, Carlos! I'm sick of our relationship being hidden all this time."
"Wait a minute Laura, I still need Mora by my side. I'm going to divorce her, after I'm done stealing her idea."
"Don't you love me?"
"Of course i love you Laura, always love you."
Mora covered her mouth, trying to peek through the doorway. With both eyes, she saw the woman with the dark red mane sitting on Carlos' desk and kissing her husband's lips. Mora recognized the woman very well.
