Catherine's Pov

"Who the heck is home?" I yelled as I banged the gate of the huge villa right in front of me.

I frowned as I didn't hear any response. What the heck was happening? Was anyone truly not at home?

No, that better not be the case, even if there was no one at the villa, there had to be some guards right? Then why the hell aren't they responding? Was it because I didn't bang it hard enough?

"Who the hell is home?" I yelled at the top of my voice as I put more strength into banging the gate.

"What the heck is wrong with you lassie ?" A hoarse voice came almost immediately and two men walked out of the gate with a frown on their faces as they glared at me.

"What took you both so long to respond, I've been banging the gate for over the past ten minutes." I frowned, staring at them, fuming in anger.

The two security men frowned as they stared at me in shock and their mouth was twitching in anger. But then I couldn't care less about that, they had made me wait for too long and I wasn't going to accept that.

"Say, lady, what are you looking for?" One of the security men frowned as he looked at me after some time.

"Let me in, I came to see someone," I replied feeling rather annoyed with their questions.

"Who are you looking for?" The other security guard asked.

"Your boss, Lauren," I replied feeling rather impatient.

"Are you one of his flings?" The security man smiled as he looked at me.

"Flings?" I froze as I couldn't believe my ears.

Next, my anger rose as I didn't believe these men were taking me for Lauren's fling. Who the hell did they think they were?

"I'm not one of his flings, rather I'm his girlfriend." I frowned as I managed to suppress my anger.

"Huh?" Much to my shock, the two security men froze hearing what I said.

"Excuse me, ma'am, can you repeat what you just said?" One of them asked.

"Are you fucking deaf or didn't you hear what I just said." I fumed in anger.

"I said I'm his girlfriend."

Immediately, the two security men burst out laughing loudly which made me frown. Were these two imbeciles, didn't they know the meaning of girlfriend, or did I have to explain it to them?

"Excuse me," I scowled, calling their attention.

"Why the heck are you two assholes laughing?" I couldn't help but curse as I asked.

"Well then, we'd say you made a rather funny joke." One of the security men chuckled as he replied.

"Funny joke?" I frowned, feeling confused.

"What the heck is funny in what I just said?" I frowned as I just couldn't understand what was happening.
