Love at Knifepoint Inevitable Love

Iris POV

For the first time in my life I felt so much hatred for my dad.

I ran upstairs to my room and started packing my things.

"I'm going to spend a few days at my best friend, Laura's place."

I came down stairs and saw my mum trying to talk to my dad. He turned to look at me and turned and walked away to his car and drove off. He wasn't going to change his mind. His mind was completely made up and this is the first time I have seen this about my dad.

My mum came to me asking where I was going. I told her I wanted to spend a few days at Laura's place and she agreed, but told me to think about what my dad said. She felt it might not actually be a bad idea and that my dad just wanted what was best for me.

I was getting more angry so I excused myself and drove out.

I finally got to Laura's place after getting stuck in the traffic for a while.

I knocked and she opened the door and was very surprised to see me because I didn't call her to tell her I was coming.

I brought out my luggage and she was even more surprised to see it.

She opened the door and asked me to stay in the second room in her two bedroom apartment after I told her I will be spending some few days with her.

After dropping my things I came back and joined her in the living room.

She was watching a movie but paused it so we could talk. I told her we should continue the movie so I calmed down for us to talk.

We ate some pizza she ordered and watched the movie till late at night.

Derry's POV

Why does my dad always try to force me to do what he wants?

Why does he always try to tell me what to do and control my life? I always make sure to do whatever he wants for peace to reign but for this particular one I feel so angry and hurt.

We were having the usual family dinner we normally have on weekends. My dad suggested we do that every weekend with the entire family so we don't fall apart or it should serve as a way to increase the bond between us. "Bond my foot. I hated this family dinner a lot."

My stepmom and step brother always tried to say very hurtful things during  this annoying family dinner and so I hated being around them so much.

My dad asked how the company was doing and as usual my stepmom tried to tell him how incompetent, I was and couldn't handle a big company like ours.

I think I have had enough for today so I stood up and turned to leave. My dad tried calling me back but I ignored him.

I was tired and needed to be away from this  toxic environment.

I drove straight to the club and called my best friend Dave, who later joined me and we both drank.

We talked for a while and he asked what was wrong since he could sense my mood and I told him, I will explain everything to him later. I just wanted to think about it for a while, alone.

We continued drinking for a while and after we both stood up and decided to leave.

Iris POV

We were indoors and I was down and distracted for a while thinking about everything.

Laura realized my mood and decided that we go to the club for a while to drink and dance and have fun.

"Typical of Laura, she would want us to go to the club, whether we are happy, sad, whatever the mood was."

We both washed down and dressed up for the club. I wore one of Laura's dresses since I didn't bring anything for the club.

I looked nice and hot inside. Luckily for me Laura and I are of the same body size. 

We drove to the club and sat down to drink for a while. Laura went to dance and drink while I just sat there watching people dance and listen to the music.
