Scarlet's P.O.V:

Poor Dill , no one should ever feel like their parents don't want them because parents are the single most important thing in a child's life ,they are the ones who are there for the child since the very beginning .

Closing to kill a mockingbird , I kept it aside on the bedside table since I had enough sad moments for the day. Now I may sound like a total nerd but god do I miss the school's summer homework !

Well the school days are over and now I’m going to start my college in one week and I’m really looking forward to it .

Having nothing to do I got up and fixed myself a snack of Doritos and salsa sauce , healthy eating just isn’t in my dictionary. I looked at the clock and it was 10 at night now and my mom was still not home . As if on cue my phone dinged indicating I got a message , I picked it up and saw it was from my mom.

Mom: Baby boom, there was a big accident due to the slippery roads so the ER here in the hospital is a havoc , they need all hands-on deck so I’ll be really late tonight, if you get hungry then order pizza , the money is in my drawer. Love you, goodnight.

Me: Okay sure mom , you go help save those people and stay safe . Love you.

As I was about to close my phone my best friend Sasha messaged me .

Sasha: hey gurl you up ?

Me: yep

Sasha : good cause I am at your door , open up.

I shook my head smiling to myself walking towards the door and opening it but as soon as I opened it , Sasha literally tackled me to the ground.

"hey! Long time no sees!" I groaned and stood up. I think I just dislocated my shoulder.

"Aren't you the right person to be giving a warm welcome" I said , sarcasm dripping from my tone.

"Oh thanks gurl , all this warmth for you" she said , giving me an annoying grin and I just fake glared at her.

"yeah right" I said rolling my eyes she is always pain in the ass but she is my pain in the ass.

"I am famished . What do you got ?" she asked heading straight for the kitchen.

"There is nothing in the kitchen mom didn't get a chance to make anything today but she left money for pizza so we can order pizza and mean while I got some Doritos in the lounge we can snack on it and watch a movie " I said

"Yea sure sounds like a plan" she said .

We ordered pizza and started watching a movie and not long after the pizza delivery guy was at our doorsteps with the pizza.

We were about halfway through the movie when I got a call from my dad .
