CHAPTER 1 - DINNER DATE

Gabby Anderson was in her bedroom trying to choose what to wear to her date with Bobby; Bobby and Gabby have planned on so many dates in their one-year relationship, but you can only count a hand full of them that they ever really went on after so many failed dates with him, her friend kiki said, my darling you need to stop being too excited about this date, you know Bobby could call as usual and say something came up.

Gabby shot her an angry look, why do you have to be so negative all the time when it comes to Bobby?

‘well because he has always made an excuse when you need to go out to dinner, he is only accurate to his promise when the date is at his place and you are the one cooking’

So is he coming to pick you up? Kiki asked;

Kiki shot her a glance; but before she could say anything.

Gabby quickly said it's more convenient for everyone anyway; what's the point of him driving all the way here and going to a restaurant almost in the middle of our locations?

Kiki was pissed; ‘how could you say that? With irritation in her tone, intensifying the irritation in her voice she continued, it's only regular for a gentle man to come to pick his woman for a date or at least send a driver, that dumb ass has no idea how to treat you as a lady Gabby; you deserve more than this, Kiki kept complaining, look am not trying to sour your mood but think about it, Bobby doesn't seem to be putting much effort into this affair, something as simple as a date he always makes excuses at the last minute, he won't try to come to pick you up or send you a driver, rarely visit you on weekends, doesn't acknowledge you in the office all in the name of keeping it professional, she mimicked Bobby's voice" “Gabby, please don't let anyone know that we are together, this is my work place. I don't want anyone to look down on me that am dating an intern"; even the sound of that is ridiculous, its as if he is ashamed of you if you ask me his feelings for you doesn't run deep.’

That's enough Kiki, Gabby shouted at her; he loves me; he says it to me all the time, and I believe him; he has his way of showing it, she said in a much lower tone; Kiki shook her head; feeling sorry for her friend, Kiki knows that sooner or later Bobby will hurt her and the impact will be so much, she wonders if Gabby will be able to get over it.
