Bambi's P.O.V
I could make out the kind of music being played in the club from where I stood, waiting for my turn to get in. For a Tuesday night, people really did show up. It wasn't that long until it was my turn to get into the hottest club in London and I would have gotten in earlier if it wasn't for the bouncer withholding my ID card, making me pass him a 20 which was totally way out of budget.
You see, I have what you people call a 'babyface’ which majority of the times isn't a problem except for the times where people mistake my twenty-three years of age for a younger age, like today for instance.
Grambling inwardly and mourning for my lost twenty euros, I made my way inside the club, the music getting louder and louder. I could almost feel my ear drum rupturing. The stench of liquor was very much prevalent, and something else, something much more intense; SEX.
Both my body and soul were screaming at me to leave the place. This was not my scene. I did not go to exclusive clubs, let alone going to clubs on a Tuesday! Nevertheless any club at all! But before I could talk myself out of it, I fidgeted my legs towards the empty booth at the corner. That way, I would get some time to calm myself down and give myself a pep talk.
I could not leave, I mean I wanted to, but couldn't more like would not. I was on a mission and from my research, this was among if not the best place to conduct that mission. All I needed was to spot one guy, who didn't look scary to complete my mission. But as my eyes roamed around the club, I couldn't help but feel more out of place. Everyone was dressed to the nines, so gorgeous and sexy, dancing their night away, drinking, laughing, having fun, and here I was, creepily staring at them, in my pink top and preppy skirt with ballet flats! Which were a hand me down from my mother. Okay, maybe this was a bad idea, I did not belong here.
Hastily gathering my belongings, I made my way to get up from the booth but before I could make it all the way to the top, I crash into what seemed like a wall bringing me back to square one as all my belongings were sent flying all over the place. But a wall? In the middle of the booth? The Math wasn't mathing. Something wasn't right. Looking up, I came face to face with what looked like a very broad, did I say BROAD, chest belonging to a giant.
“My eyes are up here sweetie” A low husky voice brought me out of my daze and back to reality, as if in command, my head tilted up in search of the owner of the jaw dropping voice, and as a reward, I was greeted with the deepest, silver-grey eyes I have ever seen. And it was not only his eyes, but his face also, which seemed to have been carefully sculpted by the gods, with his jaw sharper than Arthur’s knife. His entire demeanour, oozed sex and danger.
“Cat caught your tongue, darling?” He taunted, coming closer, breaking my personal bubble, as if it wasn't torn already by his presence. He crunched downwards, waiting for my answer. My heart was thumping so fast, I was scared it was going to rip itself out of its cage. Him being so close to me wasn't clearly helping my case. Garnering the last ounce of courage, I had left in me, I squeaked, “So incredibly sorry Sir, I-I, clearly wasn't watching where I was going, am really sorry...now if you would excuse me, am just going to go!” I rushed through my words, hoping that by that explanation, he was going to make way for me to leave. Bowing my head, afraid of being drawn in by his eyes, I made way to leave and had almost passed him, before I was abruptly brought to a stop by his deathly grip on my wrist, strong to hold me in place, but not enough to hurt me.
Shocked by his action, I raised my eyes to stare at him, my face scrunching up from both confusion and horror, anxious of what he was planning to do next. And by the smirk on his face, which grew wider on seeing my reaction towards him holding me, he clearly knew what he was doing; antagonizing me and seemed to very much enjoy it. Trying to tug my hands away from his deathly grip only resulted in him pulling me closer to him. After a very unfruitful struggle with this stranger for my freedom, I gave up and tried to reason with him, like a sound civilized human being.
