'Why am I unable to restrain my heart? Is he already here?'

Elle muddled to herself as she stood on the carpeted staircase in the midst of the hall which was illuminated with golden lights. The stunning woman gracefully clad in lavender dress walked towards the hall, as the huge swarm welcomed her presence all the comrades fell into utter silence. She looked no less than an enchanting kitsune having a glistening waterfall of silver hair which she had let loose for men to get drowned in it. She scurried further towards the railing of the staircase and her milky hands with covered arms grabbed the support. The big diamond rested on her index finger as she deliberately flung her one leg out which had a silver chain around her thigh. It seemed the fox queen was there to snag attention as she glided down like a goddess descending in the invisible cloak of grim reaper. All the appreciation in and lust in men's eyes and envy in women's was unaware of how destructive the lady was. Beneath her lavender silk gown which flowed all over her body and covered her delicate bright skin, rested a fully loaded gun hidden on her other thigh. Her silver masquerade mask embedded with beads had been hiding her identity, just like her camouflage had been masking all her intentions and thorns. As soon as she reached in the midst of comrades the woman smiled and skimmed her silver greyish eagle eyes in search of the wine corner. The attention scattered and she became ready to play her cards like a sneaky fox, the woman executed her tricks carefully that even after her target would die no one could suspect her since there had many desired eyes on her to vouch for her innocence.

'Where is he? He should be here by now, I can feel his presence.'

Elle concluded on the basis of her gut feeling that her target would be around her somewhere hiding. She sneakily looked around while her eyes glanced at every single soul present in the hall. The hall had been noisy with all the chattering and whispers from the guests. Undoubtedly the party was organized by the known businessman Richardson and his wife, Elle Romanov....the same woman who had been looking for somebody else in the party. The huge hall having red curtains contrasted with the white walls, was illuminated with expensive chandeliers giving off the golden lights. Everything seemed to be normal and no unusual activity was spotted, but Elle knew that the clock was ticking and with every passing second things were moving towards the damnation. Meanwhile she inspected the hall with her keen eagle eyes to spot the man she had been impatiently waiting for. The woman got a message early morning from an unfamiliar number, it was utter threatening with the intention of 'having her.' Richardson wanted to lure the person out of the shadows and that's why he gave a gun to his wife in order to protect herself.

But unknown to him the person was someone unexpected, although Elle was aware of the identity and that's what made her giddy and terrified about the upcoming worst scenarios. Richardson was attending the guests in a maroon coat contrasted with black shirt and similar jeans, his eyes wandered over Elle every now and then. The man sure had sensed that something was wrong with his wife ever since she came back from their vacation.

'I really want to see who is the person and why is she behaving so strange.'

Richardson was immersed into his own thoughts of seeking the truth while a man in white suit had some other plans. Ceres had been keeping an eye on her and had already acknowledged who among all those masked women was Elle. The music changed and the dancing partners switched, Elle rotated her body lightly on the tip of her heels. Her hands landed on Ceres' shoulders as Elle looked straight into his eyes, she could imminently know his identity. They had a long past history of being in a relationship which brought her to the certain point.

'How? How did he even manage to come in?'

She had no clue that despite such strict security how Ceres managed to attend the party. He grinned and made her spin while holding his hand, Ceres knew she had recognized him but wouldn't create any drama because Richardson was unaware of their affair.

Ceres leaned in towards her and wrapped his hand over her navel, he sure wanted her back at every cost. Elle grabbed his collars and pushed him while gritting her teeth, Ceres chuckled softly and fanned his breath over her exposed shoulder. His voice could still send a shiver down her spine that Elle was unable to neglect the fact that her heart experienced explosion of emotions.

"Hello, love!"

Another spin arrived with the music and a loud bang of gunshot resonated. The nose snagged everyone's attention only to see that a man in white suit was dead on the marbled floor. And Elle was holding the gun into his direction, Richardson leaped towards her and held the woman in his strong arms while Elle sobbed at her own act.
