--Athena’s POV--
Red. It has always been my favorite color. Red is hot, red is romance, red is home, red brings me luck.
”I see no special on site. Two men in corporate, sitting on the C-type,” I talked to him through my earpiece.
In the hug of the red dress to my body, it sits upon my skin. Even my perfume smells like fresh red roses with a fusion of fruity scent. Full of confidence, I trailed the entrance of the high-end lounge. My red heels clacked on the floor of the place. I see some people glancing at me as I walk into the not-so-crowded lounge. Sniffing the polluted air brings me excitement, just like that, I’m in my workplace.
” Seek every corner. To my record he must’ve arrived by now.” I heard Peter talk in my in-ear.
I sat on the high-stool chair, still scanning the whole place, and thought, ‘Where the hell are you, Mr. Knight? I’m not used to dealing with punctuality issues. You should be the one waiting, you idiot.’
”What does he look like again?” I asked Peter, while signing the bartender, to give me a drink.
”What the heck, Athena? I thought you were listening to a while ago. I explained it all to you!” He nagged.
I smiled sweetly at the bartender when he handed me my drink before I rolled my eyes. I know it’s my fault, but I’m not in my senses when he explained it all to me.
” Don’t get so grumpy. Don’t worry, this will be my last Peter.” I uttered.
” And you’re still not telling me the reason why. I thought we’re in this together?” he asked. I didn’t answer him.
I sipped on my drink while I leaned on the countertop. I was scanning the whole place, and no one seemed to catch my eye except for the two men who’s sitting on the C-type sofa. One is a bit older while the other one is seemingly looking like a bachelor. I know Peter’s taste, he would never get a ragged-looking businessman, so for sure Mr. Knight looks like him.
I gritted my jaw. I caught one of the men sitting at the C-type sofa and laid an eye on me. His eyes are cold; the more I stare at him, the more I look deeply at my own. Even with the flashing lights, I could see how his eyes were fixated on me. While I’m sipping my drink I winked at him. And damn! This cold man had no reaction at all.
”Still nothing in sight? I double checked it already and her secretary says he’s out. Are you sure you’ve seen enough?” Said Peter.
I didn’t remove my gaze from the man. His loose tie hangs freely on his neck. The first three buttons are opened. His legs are spread widely on the couch, or I must say, his massiveness is just too overwhelming for that pitiful seat. He’s holding a glass of rum and sipping it from time to time.
Out of the two, he’s the one who’s noticeable enough because of his dark aura.He wasn’t even paying attention to the lady beside her. I guess someone caught his interest, huh?
”I said what the fvck he looks like?” I asked while smirking at the man from afar.
”Goddamnit, Athena. You knew it when you saw it.” I can hear Peter’s frustration.
Last sip on my drink before I put the martini glass on the counter. I removed my tiny earpiece and dunk it into the glass, soaking. Target Locked. I handed him a cold bill before wiping my lips. Damn, red lipstick.
I stood up confidently without breaking our sight. Let’s get this done.
His eyes didn’t even change emotion when I arrived in front of him. I saw the woman beside him looking at me. I raised a brow at her, and just like that she left, murmuring like a dying old pus$y.
The man eyed the woman who had left and smirked. My lips protruded, and without any word, I sat on one of his legs. I felt how he’s taken back by my actions, but that’s just for a short period of time. He got back and stared at me coldly.
I crossed my legs while comfortably sitting on his legs. I ran my fingers to my hair and proceeded to put my hair on my left shoulder, so that he’d have a better view of my perfectly carved neck and collar bone.
”What do you need, Miss?” he asked.
