The sound of music could be heard reverberating in a clubhouse, as different bodies move and twist to the sound of the music.
The laughter and scream of the club occupants could be heard, as they swayed their bodies to the rhythm of the DJ music. At a corner in the lounge, a small group of girls can be seen drinking, while some are dancing to the rhythm of the music played by the DJ. In the crowd, a girl can be seen sitting among the girls smiling elegantly, but her eyes betray a hint of nervousness.
In a corner of the lounge, a group of girls clustered around Lina, the bride-to-be. Some sipped their drinks, and some were dancing to the music, their faces aglow with excitement. Lina sat among them, putting on a white flair gown. Her blonde hair was draped elegantly over her neck.
“Cheers to the bride-to-be guys,” one of the girls exclaimed, raising her glass in a toast. The sound of glasses clinking against each other could be heard as the other girls also raised their glasses, chugging down their wine in a gulp.
However, the bride-to-be could be seen still holding the wine glass in her hand, not having any intention of drinking it. “Hey! Today is your bachelorette party. Why are you not drinking Lina?” A blonde girl sitting beside Lina leaned in, whispering to her.
Lina’s lips curled up, revealing a hint of mischief in their slope at the girl talking to her, still not drinking. “I… will drink la… “ Before she could finish, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her, pulling her close.
Inhaling his familiar cologne that had a subtle, woody undertone, like the scent of a forest floor, warm and comforted her. “Hey darling, what’s wrong, why are you not partying?”. Daniel’s words tumbled out, sloppy and indistinct, like a mouthful of mush, as he took the empty wine glass away from her hand.
“Daniel, I don’t want to drink much, tomorrow is our wedding, and I don’t want to have any hangover.” She mumbled her voice barely above a whisper, a quiet intimacy that made you want to lean in to listen.
“Okay, I get you, take this,” Daniel said softly as he handed her a cherry-red colored wine he brought with him.
Seeing her hesitation, Daniel leaned towards her, his eyes locking into hers.“don’t worry, this drink doesn’t have much alcohol content, I promise you won’t have any hangover drinking this.”
“Really.” Her hand hovered over the wine glass she took from him, as she seemed to weigh her options. “Trust me.” Daniel affectionately brushed off the hair covering her face. After hearing that, she took the wine glass from him and drank it in one gulp. “Happy?” She asked as the drink ignited a searing heat in her throat, a burning sensation that made her eyes water."
“Yay! I knew it, it’s only my brother-in-law that can change my sister’s mind.” Mira said as she gazed softly at Daniel. Their eyes met, and at that moment, they understood each other without needing words.
Not long after Lina took the wine, she started feeling hot and dizzy. The room began to spin as her vision blurred. Her cheeks grew hot, a deep pink flush spreading across her face like a blooming flower. “Daniel, I think I’m drunk, take me to my room please,” Lina said as she stumbled slightly as she stood up.
“Yo, is the bride to be drunk already,” A sly smile spread across one of Daniel’s friends’ faces, his eyes glinting with mirth as he stumbled over. Everyone laughed.
“Daniel, Please take your bride to her room, they all chimed in, their voices laced with amusement. “Shut it guys,” Daniel's resort was cut short by Lina, as she wrapped her fingers in his black shirt, tugging him down.
His face bends towards hers, and immediately, her lips found his, soft and gentle. The kiss was brief, but it left him breathless.
