In the small town of St. Clair slumbering under the dazzling moonlight.
Amidst the dense forest that surrounded it, a group of werewolves gathered in the shade of a tree.
They looked anxious and staggered, as a result of the continuous attacks of the human hunting groups that overtook them.
In the center of the crowd, a young man named Ethan, with wolf eyes dominating his face, spoke desperately.
"Father," he said in a trembling voice, "We are no longer safe here. The human hunters are closing in, and we must escape."
However, some of the werewolves and their siblings seemed skeptical.
They muttered and thought about Ethan's plan, who had sought shelter in the human city.
"We are wolves!" said an old man named Anton, as their family's right-hand man. "We must not sacrifice ourselves to avoid human hunters."
But Ethan knew that fighting was an inevitable disaster, and he didn't want to lose more brothers.
"Dad's brother keeps bleeding. We need to treat dad." Mattiew looked so worried while holding both shoulders of Forlec.
"Quickly decide brother, where are we going?" Lucas continued to press, urging Ethan to decide.
In the bright moonlight, he announced the plan: they would disguise themselves as humans, go to the city, and seek refuge among humans who were unaware of their existence.
And that night, was their first foray into human life.
---
A few weeks later
After successfully driving off the human hunters and settling into their new lives in the city, Ethan and the rest of the werewolf pack felt that they had found a safe haven for the time being.
They settled in St. Clair, at Scot's house to be exact, choosing to hide their true identities and live life as ordinary humans.
Ethan and his brother decided to take further steps to adapt to human life.
They enroll in a local school to improve their knowledge and figure out how to blend into human society.
However, new challenges arise when they have to blend in with the social dynamics among their classmates and their undisclosed secrets.
Thanks to Scot, their trusted Watcher, who has taught them many things about human life over the weeks.
As a result Ethan and his brother were able to adapt quickly to human life.
Now they were having breakfast together before going to school.
"You listen to everything the Scot says, obey all his words, commands and prohibitions. You must not act rashly or carelessly, everything must be under Scot's supervision. Do you understand?" Folce tried to give his sons an understanding.
"Understood Dad!" they replied in unison.
Folce turned to look at Scot, "Thank you for your help Scot. I'm not repaying you now. I'll repay you later."
Scot smiled faintly, putting down his spoon and fork, "The king did not hesitate to ask for my help. I'm very happy to be of help to you. At least I'm a little useful now."
"Haven't you always been useless?" teased Dante who immediately got a flat and sharp look from Folce and Ethan.
Scot just laughed, it was normal for him to joke with Dante.
The distance of only 2 years from Ethan, really made Scot very familiar and so close to them.
"Finish your food already. The bus will be here soon. You'll be late if you're still here."
They nodded and hurriedly finished their food.
Folce who saw her son obeying Scot only smiled faintly.
At least she felt at ease that there was someone to look after her son in the future when she had to leave.
