The church bell sounds at a far distant.
Gregory reached out for his drug and battled with the bottle as he struggled to open it.
He poured some tablets on his palm and chugged it down his throat and released a grunt.
The sun that penetrated through the curtains glinted at his shirtless back and side face, makinghim look more ethereal.
Gregory is a handsome man and you could never imagine such a man to be a loner. Someone that is bit down by his dark pasts.
He stared up at the ceiling and sighed.
Part of his hair fell down and covered his right eye.
The ray of the sun on his lips make them too pink to be real.
He made a turn around and went to stand by the window.
He glanced at the wall clock.
It's almost time.
In five minutes time, he would get his cure.
He breathed out heavily.
His phone vibrated on the bed and he went to grab it.
He looks at the caller before swiping to the right then placing it on his right ear.
"Good morning, sir Gregory. Hope you had a great night?"his secretary, Harry's voice sounded.
"It has always been the same. Why did you call?"he replied, hoarsely.
"Mr Buckley said he would like a dinner date with you. I do think this is a great opportunity as you both would discuss well about business."
A scoff escape from Gregory's perfect lips.
He went back to the window and look out into the gentle morning.
"I'm not going. We can always discuss on the phone. If he wishes for a visual discussion, then we can always have one on Zoom."he replied.
"Gre..."
"You've been by my side for a long time, Harry. You, of all people, should know that fact."he breathed out and scuttles to the table.
"He said if he doesn't see you then he cannot invest. Gregory, just this once, huh?"
He grabs the bottled water and paused.
"Is he investing in my face?. It's his loss for not investing, not our's. Why would he care about my face, tho?. Shouldn't his main concern be on the business?. Besides, you're there.. so.."he opened the lid of the bottle and raised it up to his lips.
"Ugh; Trying to convince you is like trying to turn a big rock over. I'm hanging up."Harry hissed before disconnecting the call.
He drank a reasonable amount of water before placing it down.
He saunters to the percolator in the room and grab a cup then place it under the machine after turning it on.
When the cup was half filled, he turned off the device.
He added some sugar and cream inside it then brew it together with a spoon.
He took a sip and breathed out in some kind of relief.
He walks back to the bed and his phone buzzed indicating a new notification.
His eyes brightened up and he rushed towards it.
