Beautifully Ruined

WASHINGTON DC,OAKWOOD STREET, APARTMENT 16B>>>

A loud sound of a baby crying filled the entire neighborhood and it wasn't surprising because the baby cries all the time out of hunger or probably because she wanted her mother.

Ava stirred and her eyes opened, A human could have screamed the moment she opened her eyes because it was red and puffy from lack of sleep which made her look somehow but it was from all the stress.

She would take care of her child from morning till night with no support from anyone then she'd have to head to work after classes and her whole body was aching from all the stress, she felt like disappearing but who would she leave her daughter with, Her baby was the reason that she was still living or she would have given up since.

The loud crying continued so she tried to gather the strength to sit up but a hand shoved her roughly.

"Get up and shut her up, Ava! I need some goddamn sleep!"The voice beside her growled. "This is exactly why I don't come home but I guess I didn't have a choice tonight, did I?"

The hard push sent her to the floor, her body hitting the worn-out carpet and the ache she felt in her entire body doubled but she stood up wincing in pain but she ignored it and turned to look at her boyfriend, Ryan who was on the bed, sleeping so peacefully while she had to be the one to take care of their daughter alone.

He dosen't even provide anything for them, He doesn't care about them, He doesn't support her, He dosen't take care of his responsibilities, All he ever did was go to college, get into fights, flirt with girls, hang out at clubs with his gang and come back home drunk in the middle of the night.

That's all he ever did and whenever she complained, all she got were his harsh yells and when he was truly pissed off, she gets hot slaps from him but he hadn't started hitting her yet, maybe because she was still recovering from childbirth that could have killed her but she survived.

Ava let out an exhausted sigh before heading towards the small baby named Liana in the cot at the corner of the room and when she took her out of the cot, she smiled so wide and touched her soft cheeks.

She started pacing back her forth all over the room while rocking Liana in her arms and humming a lullaby for her which made her fall asleep but before she could put her back inside the cot, she started crying even more louder than before.

Ryan groaned behind her, the sound full of irritation and he looked like he was about to send them out.

"For God's sake, Ava, shut her up!"He snapped from the bed, pulling a pillow over his head.

Ava opened her mouth to shout back at him but she didn't decided to keep shut instead to avoid his slaps that could make her go blind.

"Please, sunshine... please sleep."She murmured, pressing a kiss to Liana's forehead. "Momma's tired... so tired." She yawned and walked out of the room to the sitting room, she sat down on the couch with Liana still in her arms and her tiny hands were holding Ava's chest so tight which meant she wanted to suck.

Ava sighed and unbuttoned her blouse before cradling Liana so close to her chest and she started sucking while Ava watched her with tired eyes and she leaned her head back against the worn cushion then she fell asleep with Liana still in her arms while she held her so tight, close to her chest.

VANES VILLA ESTATE, ROSÉ HILL.>>

Maids lined up with their faces pale in fear, standing shoulder to shoulder inside the grand Vanes Villa, The mansion was breathtaking looking like a palace carved from cold stone and dripping in gold.

Tall windows stretched from floor to ceiling with the velvet curtains the color of rich wine and the crystal chandeliers dangled from the golden ceilings even the ground was made from gold and it was like a glass but it was so beautiful.

Every corner of the estate screamed wealth, power and authority! After all, the Vanes family were amongst the wealthiest families in the entire country. Their net worths could easily buy the whole nation if they wanted to and they were ruthless too, so cold hearted but Silas wasn't like the rest of his siblings until his life changed.

One phonecall from any one of them and your life is ruined forever, no amount of apologies or pleas would get your life back because their hearts were made of ice especially the young mistress of the villa.

Seraphina Vane,Silas's step sister,she's everything a human should run away from because she was fire itself, the one that would burn down everything and leave no ashes.

Her favourite Golden Glass Cup that worths millions was missing so all the maids were standing in front of her with their heads bowed down like she was Queen.

Not a single one dared to breathe too loud, let alone speak while waiting for her to speak but she was so silent which meant disaster was loading.

Working for the Vanes came with its rewards, a good pay and prestige but don't take that little kindness because one single mistake,you would be gone, fired and blacklisted that no wealthy family would employ you.

"For. The. Last. Time, Where is it?"Her voice and face was so cold which made the maids tremble but no one spoke and she chuckled darkly while watching something on her phone.

The video was sent to her from the villa's elite security system, Hidden cameras were everywhere so there was nothing that happens in the villa that would be hidden from them.

Seraphina paused the video and looked up with a dark smile then her gaze landed on one of the maids that was shaking like a leaf.

"You, Come forward."

The maid froze and stepped forward, stopping in front of Seraphina's sexy pointed heels that was under her feet.

"Did you think I wouldn't find out?" Seraphina asked quietly.

"I-I didn't mean to steal it...i was only trying to..."

SLAP!

The first slap landed hard on the maid's cheeks which made her head turn to the left side.

"Trying to what?" Seraphina hissed.

"I-I was going to return it, I swear....."

Another hot slap and it was harder than before which made the maid to stagger back with a large slap mark on her cheeks and tears rolling out of her eyes.

"Return it after your filthy hands has touched it?" Seraphina growled. "Do you know how much that cup costs?, Your entire generation wouldn't be able to afford it, How dare you?!"

The maid went down on her knees while she sobbed, "Please... I didn't mean...."

Another slap! Her lips bled from it and she was sobbing even more hard now.

"Enough!"A loud voice stopped Seraphina when she was about to give the maid another slap and she balled her fists at the voice that stopped her, she was prepared to make the maid go blind.

"Mother, do not interfere! She stole from me! My golden cup! The one I got from Arab,Do you know how much it's worth? Millions!"Seraphina snapped, turning to look at her Mrs vane.

She took a step forward with elegance despite her age, she was a gorgeous woman with her silver short hair and her glowing caramel skin was flawless, It was clear Seraphina had inherited her beauty, but not her good heart and kindness.

"For a cup, Seraphina?"

"I did not raise you to be this wicked." Mrs vane said with her heels clicking softly against the golden floors. "Yes, she made a mistake and she should be punished but she's a human being, not an animal!"

Seraphina's nostrils flared like a bull.

"i don't care! She's an animal!"

"Seraphina!"Mrs Vane shouted,getting furious.

"What! She's nothing but a thief! An animal! A maid! A nobody! She will rot in jail for even touching that cup! I will not listen to your preaching today mother because I'm not like you!"Seraphina fired back looking so furious too and the entire house shook at the sound of her lond voice.

"Yes, you're nothing like me because you're just like your father! Vold. Ruthless and heartless to the core!"

"Don't you dare compare me to that man!"She seethed, stepping closer. "I am nothing like him."

"But you are......

"Mother! Do not compare me to that monster. I am nothing like him! He's dead Gone and that grave he's rotting in? It's exactly what he deserved."

The room went dead silent but then the butler rushed in and he looked so scared.

"Madam - Mrs Vane! It's the master! I found him in the bathroom, h... he...b...blood..."

Their hearts literally stopped beating for a moment.

"Silas!"Both of them sprinted out of the grand living room immediately.

SILAS'S WING, EASTERN BLOCK OF VANES VILLA>>>

Silas was on the floor in his large bathroom that looked more like a luxurious living room, His head was bleeding and his entire body ached like mad.

He couldn't move, not his hands, not his legs and not even lift himself up from the floor, It's not like a miracle would happen since had been like that for about three years of his life since the accident.

He felt so helpless on the floor, so useless and the frustration boiling inside him made him want to hit the wall, break something or even stab himself with a knife because it was too much to bare.

He hated this, Hated being like this, Paralyzed and not being able to do something for himself without asking for help.

He had tried pushing his wheelchair from his room to the bathroom and after much difficulty, he finally made it. All he wanted to do was grab his toothbrush, just something simple but it was too far so he couldn't reach it.

He tried to stretch while still seated in the wheelchair, trying to reaching for it but the floor was wet and his wheelchair slipped from under him which made him fall hard on the cold tiles with his head slamming against the floor which started bleeding

Blood trickled down the side of his forehead and his entire body was shaking on the ground like he was convulsing and it made him feel even more helpless than before.

Why him?

Why did life have to turn out this way?

He couldn't do anything for himself anymore, couldn't walk, couldn't move, couldn't even get a damn toothbrush without falling and almost dying.

He clenched his teeth while breathing so hard without moving his body too much but within a moment, he heard his mother shout his name and the bathroom door bursted opened then he heard the sound of heels running in which made him feel a bit relieved but at the same time ashamed of him self.

"Silas!"

Mrs. Vane's dropped to her knees so close beside him and her hands were trembling when she touched his face that was stained with blood.

"Oh my God, Silas..."She whispered with tears already in her eyes. "What happened? Why didn't you call for help? I asked you to wait for me"

He wanted to answer but couldn't, His lips parted but no words came, Just a choked breath.

"Get the doctor! Now!"Seraphina barked at the butler, who stumbled backward before turning to sprint out of the room.

She looked worried too while staring at Silas that was breathing heavily, she was cruel and heartless but she loved Silas more than anything and even more than her own blood brother.

"Call Aiden, Seraphina! We need to get Silas out of here!" Mrs. Vane cried out, pressing a towel against the wound on Silas's forehead and he shook his head, shutting his eyes tightly.

"That idiot left for the office" Seraphina snapped before her eyes went to the maid that was standing at the door.

"What are you staring at?! Go! Call the guards! NOW!"

The maid flinched and ran out so fast.

Seraphina knelt down beside Silas, brushing his blood-soaked hair from his face.

"You stubborn fool... why didn't you wait for someone to help?"

Silas's lips almost twitched, surprised to see his little sister speak so soft like that.

Two guards rushed in which made Mrs Vane and Seraphina stand up for them to carry him and they lifted him up which made him groan in pain.

"Be careful!"Seraphina snapped.

They carried him out of the bathroom to his big bedroom and dropped him on the bed.

"Gently... gently"Mrs. Vane muttered.

A long, sigh escaped his lips the moment he laid his head on the bed while the blanket over his legs to make sure he was warm.

"Are you alright Silas?"

"I'm fine, Mother."His voice was so deep and so rough from lack of use because he rarely spoke unless it was necessary.

"You're not fine"She murmured still dabbing his head with the towel to reduce the blood flow. "You could've cracked your skull open, you had no idea how scared I was to see you like that."

He didn't respond, His eyes closed again, He couldn't even look at his mother because he felt weak, a weak paralysed man always depending on his mother.

Mrs. Vane sighed again.

Meanwhile Seraphina, who was watching them without speaking felt her throat tighten, Her gaze drifted slowly around the room until it landed on the framed photo of Silas's ex-wife still hanging on the wall.

Her blood boiled.

She had tried to remove that picture a thousand times but she couldn't because Silas would get so furious and he warned her never to remove it so she left it but she was still so mad about it, It'll only hurt him more if he keeps looking at that bîtçh that left him.

"Don't come back into his life after ruining him because if you do... I'll be the one to burn you alive."She muttered under her breath with her face looking so dangerous then she walked out of the room to make a call.

"It's Seraphina Vane. I need ten girls brought to the estate tomorrow morning, I need them for the job of a nanny, All should be responsible, No low lives or smelling pigs here, I want women that are capable for this job, You know my taste. Make it happen."

She ended the call without waiting for a reply.
