Zoe Blue peered through the transparent rare door glass at the fast moving substances outside. The brawny glass shielded her eyes from the visible rain drops descending steadily from the atmosphere. Like in a slow motion, she saw them hit the glass, it was oddly satisfying. She would feel as if the rain drops would hit her but they landed right above her nose on the glass.
Zoe's left hand was wrapped securely around her lower abdomen, motion sickness was eating her up leisurely and she would hate to vomit in the nice smelling car the first time she got on it.
The driver, the only other passenger in the car had tried to start conversations with Zoe, Zoe had only nodded saying nothing. Talking to strangers—or anyone was something Zoe had found hard to do. He let her be and drove through the road, taking over cars, speeding.
The eerie silence in the car didn't bother Zoe, she had been seated in the car for hours, after her extremely long flight, not stopping to eat, not even adjusting.
Who built airports so far away from houses?!!.
She closed her eyes knowing she was now very very very far, very far from her home,t as far as she had never been or hoped to be. A new life approaches while memories of the past still lingers.
"Rest on mom and dad." She kissed the petal shaped pendant hanging down from her neck. She felt tears sting her eyes again, the fifteenth time that day, she had been counting.
Both her parents died on the same day and she was still hurting, real bad. The only people who ever understood her were dead and gone, she abstain from thinking about it, it made her want to weep, she couldn't help it.
"We are almost there." The driver announced cheerfully.
The atmosphere had changed, the sky was now darker and thicker signifying night fall, it took them an entire day to get to Mr Collins Blue's house, Zoe Blue's uncle.
Zoe peered outside ones more, the surroundings were different from before, she saw identical houses arranged on both sides of the road, with lawns and disposers, the houses were surprisenly large and tall.
"Meow meow!." Snow meowed from Zoe's back pack, the obedient cat peered from the little breathing space Zoe had torn into her bag for the feline.
"I miss you too." Zoe whispered back and rubbed the white cat cute head with a finger. "We have just each other now."
The car stopped to a halt for the first time since the ride began. Zoe's breathing became more hitched as nervousness got the best of her.
"Here we are!. I can do it!." Oh no she can't!.
"Come down now." The driver slammed the side door shut and opened the door for her.
"Meow meow." Snow shook the bag uncomfortably.
"Stay still we're almost there!."
"Zoe!." Mr Collins Blue shot through the door as fast as an antelope. "We have been waiting. Come on. Come in. Are you okay?. Oh leave your bags, Sally will get them. How was the journey?, Have you had something to eat?. Irene has made her delicious spaghetti for you. Come on, come in, you have to eat a lot. You're thinner than every girl I've ever seen on this earth."
"My bags."
"Sally will take care of those."
He laughed out loud cackling, he took Zoe's hand and they headed back inside.
Mr Collins Blue was a man that looked younger than he actually was, in his late forties, he looked like he was just in his early thirties, like he just gotten through puberty.
Collins was over hyper active he was never in a spot for too long, he exercised, he talked, he laughed, he was always happy. He was a man of good active vibes.
Collins Blue was muscular and agile with thick brown curly hair like Zoe's, it runs in the family. He had spotless light skin, light brown in perfection, but crooked teeth that he was never ashamed off.
Unlike his brother, Zoe's deceased father who was always calm, never said too much, straightforward. In a way, boring. Larry Blue, Zoe's late dad, wedded a woman that was just like him in heart and character.
Together they passed down their 'dullness' to Zoe. She was too gentle and calm, too.
Zoe, thin and tall at 17, in a normal way. Light skinned with thick brown curly shoulder length hair. Tiny beautiful brown eyes, flat nose, brown pink lips [upper lips brown, lower lips pink], and a slightly long neck.
"Zoe is here." Mr Collins Blue shouted into the castle building, his husky voice booming here and there to alert them all, his wife Irene, and children, J squad, Jahim, Jamal, Jamil, Jaffer.
Collins, no doubt had the mind of a child with a grown man's body. .
"Zoe Hi. Welcome!." Irene came rushing out of a silver lined door dressed in grey shorts and a Lakers tank top.
She hugged Zoe tightly and beamed at the girl. Irene's long brown hair tickled Zoe's face.
"I'm sure you're hungry, I made spaghetti tonight, come with me, the boys must be asleep, we'll give you a proper welcome party tomorrow. Come with me." Irene held Zoe's hand cheerfully.
