“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride,” the priest announced while everybody clapped happily.
Paige Adams, who is still trapped in a trance from the sharp drug she was poisoned with, which made her dizzy, slowly opened her eyes and got shocked to see she was not in her original hangout.
She was standing in front of lots of people, wearing a wedding dress, and looking at the man who had dared to trick her into marrying him.
It was none other than the man who proposed to her when they were in college, Sam, and her shameless, ungrateful family!
“I have an objection!” She stood on her ground and made her voice loud enough to be heard. She threw off the veil and rubbed off her makeup.
Her words madeeeveryonef everyone seated presently in the venue stare at each other in a confused manner. Her aunt, Adams Belinda, stood up from amongst the crowd.
“Paige Adams! You are the bride, you have no objection!” She tried to hush her husband's niece from interfering with the wedding ceremony.
Paige Adams smiled at her with utmost mockery, took a glimpse, and perhaps, had an idea of what was going on!
Before this occurred, she was in a club, drinking and twerking and now, she is in a wedding dress getting married to her college classmate, Sam.
Her guesses were probably correct. She was drugged and forced to marry her smelling classmate without her consent! Paige Adams maintained an evil grin on her cheeks and swiped the microphone off the priest's hand.
“Woah! Can you all imagine that I was drugged and dragged here to get married to an old fogey?” Paige Adams threw her question openly especially to someone she despised so much, her uncle, her aunty and bitchy niece.
From the day her parents were confirmed dead in a car accident, Paige Adams was made to live with her father's brother, Adams Ivan, who not only made life difficult for her but tried to sell her off to some old ugly rich men.
“Paige Adams, I am doing this for your oath!” The aunt tried to defend herself while making a pleading look at the man standing there, receiving all the insults.
“My o'causood? Then you might as well marry him, because I am leaving!” Paige Adams tore off the long wedding gown into a short mini gown and jumped off the stage to the chairs occupied by the audience.
She removed the hair decorations knitted on her head and chortled maniacally.
“Catch her! Do not let her escape!” Her uncle yelled as the hefty security guards came in, forming a huge human barrier around the exit.
“It has been long since I have had a good fight. Time to try out my skills.” She jerked on top of one of the guard's heels and kicked him in the face. He yelled in pain, giving her more distractions so her could run.
The audience was surprised to see the other side of the person their colleague claimed to be normal. She had mental issues!
Paige Adams cared less about embarrassing herself and cared more about escaping from her uncle's evil plan of rotting her off.
She was not going to allow herself to be sold to some old fogey all in the name of money and family relationship.
Paige Adams climbed the window, having spotted her runaway vehicle, folded her arms tightly against her shoulders, and fell backwards.
They all gasped as she fell through theten-story Maybachy building and when they heard a banging sound, everyone looked to see if she was still okay and alive. They sighed frustratedly and rolled their eyes. Paige was very much alive after that fall and had landed on a blue bean bag.
She stood up from the soft bag on the floor and kept running. Throwing open a car parked at the entrance of the venue—a Maybach car, to be precise—hijacked it and started the car
She shut the door tightly, took a deep breath, turned the key in its hole, stepped on the brakes immediately, and drove madly, not knowing there was someone in the car. Her mind was so focused on escaping from them that she did not notice the masculine figure seated on the chair at the back of the car.
Her uncle, Ivan, also did not hesitate to enter his car and drive after his niece. Paige Adams stepped on the brake with force, drifting the car into a crowded parking lot to avoid him.
The car shrieked with a loud noise as it kept driving with force. She adjusted the side mirror and gasped when she saw a man seated in the back seat with black sunglasses on his eyes.
His suit spelt rich and expensive as it was made with the latest, and most expensive animal fur in the world.
Paige Adams was not given a chance to explain when she heard his voice. She gulped and gazed at him through the mirror
“Who are you?” A male voice was heard in the car.
“I should be asking you! This is my car! Why are you sitting in it?” Paige Adams also threw the question back at him.
