My husband died-tragically in ocean with Jolene! So, I inherited his multimillion-dollar estate. Little did I know, after heading to the bar and ordering several male escort, my deceased husband suddenly appeared before me. "Erika, you've got some nerve." I was shocked. "Holy crap! How are you back from the dead?"

Chapter 1

My husband, Jaycob Hall, died in the deep sea while visiting the Titanic with his beloved woman.

And so, I inherited his fortune.

Just as I was about to have a fling with several male escorts at the bar, Jaycob suddenly appeared before me. "Erika, you've got quite the nerve."

"Holy cow! How did you come back to life?" I screamed.

I was in the bathtub and watching a drama when I received a call from the police. "Hello, is that Ms. Erika Hall, Mr. Jaycob Hall's wife?"

What? Wasn't Jaycob off diving with his beloved, Jolene Hewitt? Why would I receive such a call?

"Yes, it's me. And who is that?"

"Hello, I'm a police officer from the Baxwell police station. The sightseeing submarine Mr. Hall boarded has been confirmed missing. Do you have time to come to the police station?"

The scammers had surely done their homework. "I have no time. If Jaycob is confirmed dead, contact me to sign the will."

I hung up the phone and continued my bath while humming a song when suddenly a notification popped up on my tablet. "Breaking News! A Titanic sightseeing submarine has gone missing, with millionaire passengers aboard! Click to see details."

I was startled and sat up straight.

I quickly clicked the message and read it carefully.

It seemed that Jaycob really was missing.

An overwhelming sense of joy suddenly filled my mind. I leaped out of the bathtub and nearly slipped as I exited the bathroom.

"Hello, is this the officer who called me a moment ago? I have time to go there now." I called back while putting on my shoes. "Okay. I'm on my way."

After I arrived at the police station, I finally confirmed that Jaycob was indeed missing.

"Mrs. Hall, please don't be too upset. We will notify you as soon as there is any news." The female police officer sitting beside me offered comfort and occasionally handed me a tissue.

"Thank you. I appreciate your efforts." I forced a few tears and pretended to be sad.

Suddenly, my gaze caught sight of a tall figure.

He was so handsome...

I pointed in his direction and asked, "Who is that?"

The female police officer followed my finger and replied, "Oh, him? That's Officer Robert Singh, the cutest policeman in the station. He called you earlier."

I understood the situation and said, "Thank you for your help today. Please notify me immediately if there's any news about my husband." I came to my senses and continued my act.

"Absolutely," the female officer said.

Back in the car, my tears had long been replaced by a smile.

I remembered how Jolene had come to flaunt before she and Jaycob departed.

"Do you know what this is?" She had invited me to a café. As soon as I sat down, she waved a paper ticket in her hand.

I took a sip of coffee and listened calmly to her next words. "Not long ago, Jaycob and I watched the movie Titanic. I casually mentioned how I'd love to see the real thing, and he gifted me this million-dollar sightseeing ticket the next day." She caressed the ticket like a treasure. Then she taunted me, saying, "You seem to have to be alone in the coming few days."

Her eyes were fixed on me, and she tried not to miss any expression change on my face.

I slowly put down the coffee and took a piece of paper from my handbag. "Do you know what this is?"

Jolene's smile froze. Her gleeful gaze turned sinister.

"This is my marriage certificate with him, so you will have to settle for being the mistress forever." I was good at hitting her where it hurt.

"Don't be so smug. Jaycob has always loved me. You've been Mrs. Hall for too long," Jolene almost shouted.

She drew the attention of everyone around.

The curious stares turned Jolene's face crimson with embarrassment. She said hurriedly, "Just watch me and Jaycob be together forever!"

Then she grabbed her handbag and fled.

I thought about it now and realized that Jolene must have been a prophet. Her words came true as they lay together forever at the bottom of the sea.

After a week of fruitless search by the rescue team, it was soon concluded that everyone aboard the submarine had died.

Given the depths of the sea, survival was nearly impossible.

Jaycob's parents were already deceased, and he had no children. I smoothly inherited his fortune without any obstacles as the only primary heir.

Looking at the substantial inheritance in my account, I dressed up and headed to a bar reputed for its cute guys.

With a flourish of cash, the boss there promptly arranged several male escorts for me.

But I felt unsatisfied. So I beckoned the boss over and said, "Got anyone even cuter? I'm willing to pay extra."

"Madam, I've already given you the best our bar has."

I Slapped My Fiancé-Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
