UNHOLY ROMANCE (MAFIA 18+)
"Ella, hurry up! I wanna go before traffic hits!" screamed my impatient roommate.
"I'm coming, just give me one more second!" I screamed back while fixing up my dress and putting a little bit of make up on.
I decide to go with a casual black dress, nothing to fancy. It was only a nightclub after all, I didn't think there was really much I would need at a club. I had my phone, money, fake ID. You know, the usuals.
I did my make-up light, not to much of anything. I tried tying up my hair but it looked better down so I kept it that way. Soft and smooth black hair, all ready to go.
I left the bathroom quickly and headed to the living room. Nicolas was fixing up his suit while I put on my short black heels.
"Wow, you look amazing! Is that a new dress?" said Nicolas while looking at me.
"Surprisingly yes, it is a new dress. I didn't think I was gonna use it so I decided tonight would be a good time to wear it, don't you think?" I said while getting up after putting on my heels properly.
"Absolutely! Alright, let's go now.", grabbing the keys from the counter, he was out the door in no time.
I followed behind him as we left the apartment, locking the door behind us. We headed to the car and situated ourselves before he began turning the car on.
"You got everything?" he asked while bucking his seatbelt.
"Yep, I got everything!" I responded.
And with that, he started driving. The traffic wasn't as bad as we made our way to the nightclub, I was actually relieved to see that. I needed this experience again, it's been a while since I visited a nightclub, I was prepared to have the time of my life.
We finally arrived after what felt like hours of driving, though it was only about 15-20 minutes. We got out the car and headed over to the building.
We joined the long line for entry, getting out our IDs as we waited. I wasn't all that nervous about getting caught with the fake one, so far no one seemed to have noticed it was fake. I had gotten into so many clubs without any problems.
After a bit, we finally got to the front of the line. I could hear the music blasting from inside the building, sounds fun in there to me.
"ID's, please." the security guard asked.
We showed him our ID's and headed inside after he opened the door for us, revealing a big crowd of people having an extraordinary time.
'Haha, sucker fell for a fake ID.' I said in my head.
Nicolas looked over at me, "Surprised they didn't catch you yet, that ID sure does work."
"You don't say. Well fuck, I hope I don't look that old if they think this is real." I pouted, putting the ID in the back of my phone case.
Nicolas let out a slight chuckle, "You don't look old at all, Ella. It's just some good ID work, that's all."
"Thank you. Well, what do you wanna do first?" I asked Nicolas who was just staring at every person he could in the distance of the crowd.
"Let's grab some drinks first, might give me some more energy to dance around like the rest of these losers." he joked while focusing his eyes on me.
"Alright, let's go!" I screamed, grabbing him by the arm and dragging him over to the bar.
We sat down and ordered our drinks, talking in between sips and wait times. I usually wouldn't think he would suggest something like this, Nicolas didn't really like crowded areas like clubs. But he seemed to be enjoying himself so it didn't bug me at all, I was happy he was happy.
The longer we sat at the bar, the more drunk we were becoming. It was all worth it to me, we were having the time of our lives, all the stress and pain was fading away from both of us.
I looked around at all the people while we were talking, accidentally locking eyes with a few people here and there. It was a bit embarrassing but it's not like we were going to see each other ever again, what are the chances of that even happening?
It happened again, but with a very strange man. He didn't even bother to look away, he just kept staring back at me. I faced away from him, still watching him through the corner of my eye.
After a few seconds, he finally turned around and walked away, leaving my peripheral vision. I looked back at Nicolas as he continued talking, trying to forget about whatever just happened.
"Hey there, you're really cute." exclaimed some random girl who stood in front of Nicolas, twirling her hair and biting her lip.
"Thanks but I'm not interested in you, I'm actually gay." he said while trying to contain his laugh, we both knew he wasn't gay.
She looked at him for a moment and turned around without a word. The girl walked away with disappointment and embarrassment, leaving me and Nicolas laughing as we watched.
"Out of everything you could have said, what's what you came up with?" I chuckled.
"Oh please, you would have done the same thing! Besides, I just needed her away from me." he laughed while giving me a soft playful punch in the arm.
We continued laughing and sharing stories at the bar, I was having a lot of fun so far. Many people were coming up to us, we decided to keep making dumb comments to drive them away and laughed like animals when it worked. It was genuinely funny to see everyone get so embarrassed about such things.
In the middle of a conversation we were having, my phone was ringing. It was one of my- well, our other friends, Holly.
'Ah jeez, give me a break.'
She was a rich pick-me girl for the most part but she was also pretty nice around me so I always gave her a shot. I guess she wasn't all that bad but I get annoyed around her very easily still, I just don't show it.
"Imma go take this outside, I'll be right back." I shouted over the music, showing the phone that was ringing to Nicolas.
He gave me a thumbs up as a sign that he heard me and I got up, leaving the building. My ears were dead at this point, I couldn't hear much because of the blasting music in the building but I had to deal with it.
I answered the phone, "Hey, Holly! What's up?"
"Hey, El! I was wondering if you wanted to come by and take some things I plan on giving away, I decided to fix my wardrobe a bit more since I finally found my style, I thought some of these things would look great on you!" she babbled.
"Oh my god, sure thing! I'll come by tomorrow afternoon, I'm at a club right now with Nicolas and we're getting pretty drunk so we'll see how it plans out!"
"Oooo, okay! Well keep having fun, don't let me interrupt! Tell Nicolas I said hi, bye Ella!" she said before hanging up.
'Rude, I didn't even get to say bye back.'
As I was about to walk back into the club, the voice of a man caught my ear.
"Are you trying to get in a crash? Drinking and driving isn't the safest things you should be doing." said the voice.
'Who in the world was that?'
I turned around and looked at the direction the man was talking from. A tall, well dressed man stood there with a cigarette in his hand.
I couldn't make out his face considering how dark it was already, and I was still pretty tipsy.
"No-", he cut me off before I could continue.
"Then neither one of you drive. Call an Uber and have them pick you up. One of you can get the car when you're both sober again." he said while walking putting out his cigarette and walking my way.
Who even was this man and how long has he been standing here for? Was he just listening to my conversation the entire time?
I stepped away the closer he got to me, not knowing who this man was I knew I couldn't trust him, especially with no one around. My back eventually hit the wall, cornering me with no where to go.
Then it hit me, that faces looked so familiar. It was the guy I had locked eyes with just about an hour ago, I was surprised he was still here but also terrified in this little situation.
I really wanted to warn him saying that I knew some form of karate or that I had a gun with me but he didn't seem to be the type of guy that could be fazed by it.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Please d-don't hurt me, I-"
"Hurt you?" he cut me off before I started rambling, "I wouldn't do that. But might I say, you are quite beautiful." he complimented.
"Thank you." I whispered, still in a bit of fright. I didn't know who this man was, so many things could go wrong in this one moment.
After a few seconds of silence, Nicolas came out the doors where I was. He looked at each direction before spotting me and ran over, shoving the mysterious man aside.
"You have to check out this place I found not to far from here!" he said, full off excitement. He obviously wasn't sober at all for this.
"Nicolas, I don-" I started before he cut me off.
"Come on, follow me!" he yelled while dragging me away from the corner I was trapped in.
I looked behind me as he dragged me away, seeing the guy watch us as we left with a smile on his face. He waved at me before walking back inside the club, acting so casually as if nothing had ever happened.
Nicolas was obviously drunk but that wasn't gonna stop him. I decided to drive since the drinks didn't kick in as fast as it did for Nicolas. We finally found the car and I unlocked it.
'Who was that man and what did he want from me?' I thought while getting into the car.
