The Journey To Her Heart

Chapter 1

Henry Abe a true son of Umoguh Community of the Nrik Kingdom, graduated from the prestigious university in the state. He is average high with chocolate color in complexion with brown eyes. He toured around the state in search of a true love, to start a relationship.

Thus, on a Saturday morning when coming out from his compound he met a lady, Mary Alexander, the daughter of the retire Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of work. She graduated from the same University, Henry recognized her face, and then ask her.

What are you doing in my street? She responded, that she came checkup her cousin, she is staying on the upper street. Though Henry admired her beauty, he got her contact, and pick up from there.

He communicated with her later and everything when on smoothly and they dated. This put smile into Henry face having a relationship.

Henry dated her for eight months, was preparing to take the relationship to next level, 'to meet her family.' Not until passerby told him to try and do a background check to be sure his girlfriend is faithful.

But Henry turns deaf ears, and blindfolded with love not to take anyone advice, until he met Greg Steward standing close to the classic Hotel gate in Desta city of the state. Greg was his friend, during the University days. Greg came into the city about couple of months, he pranks to test people's patience, and to get a genuine reaction from them.

The era of social media brought him to a lamb light. He found out that people are not upright in their relationships. He had to switch his prank, to testing the loyalty in relationships between partners.

He got connected to Greg and they both spoke. "I want you to run a loyalty test on my girlfriend, Mary."

Henry had planned to engage his girlfriend, but he felt the need to prove to himself that she was not cheating.

Henry gave him his girlfriend's phone number, for him to do a background chat with her.

After two weeks of chatting with Mary, it seemed she would fall for the loyalty test, but he wanted to play it out in Henry's presence for full clarity.

The next day, Greg and Henry met at the spa. He asked him,

Do you trust your girlfriend? Henry responded, "Sure, 100 percent, I believe that she can't cheat on me, besides I'll soon prepare to marry her."

Greg was amazed, and burst into laughter. "What's funny," Henry asked? "Nothing, anyway, let me prove to you that your girlfriend is a cheat." "I am staking $200 if my girlfriend falls for your trickery loyalty test, then you go home with the money."

They both gave the camera person $200 to hold. If any of them win, then they should hand over the money to the winner. The camera person collected the money and put it inside his black bag.

Wow, this is massive. Greg took out his phone, "I hope this is her phone number?"" Yeah, it's her number," Henry responded.

Greg put a call to Mary. The phone rang, and she answered, "Am I unto Mary," she responded. "Yep," I am the person that has been chatting with you for about 2 weeks now. "But i told you that I was not interested. Besides, I have a boyfriend," "Yeah, i know, sorry! "Are you into hookup, because I got your number from a hookup friend? "No, I am not into hookup." Henry was smiling, and showing his palms upward to the sky, with a low voice, ''i told you that she is not cheating on me."

Greg was still on call with her and responded to Mary, ''am not even the person, it's my boss, Nelson Brown, who had just come back from overseas, and needed some girls to be with that night.'' Yet still Mary was not interested, she asked him, "who gave you my phone contact? Greg responded, "Never mind how I got your contact, but Chief Nelson is ready to give each girl $500 for just this night."

Wait oh! Did you say $500? Mary responded, "Yeah," "Anyway, I am interested, I am into hookup." "Really," Greg responded, and directed her to come to the location for the hookup deal.

Henry's face changed with a sad look and a shock in his body, directly to his bone marrow.

In about 45 minutes, she called Greg: Where are you? Am at the spa.'' Greg saw her. He waved his hand, "Turn to your left side, you will see me, towards the car parking position."

Henry went behind the car, so that he would hear their conversation without her knowing. When she arrived, Greg complimented her beauty, and asked her if she was really interested in meeting Chief Nelson. She responded, "yep."

Greg called out to Henry, "Boss come over, she's here.''

Henry came out. She was surprised, and she started begging, "Babe, it's not what you think, I can explain."

Then she turned around to blame Greg, "What did you just do? Oh! This guy has killed me! "Why didn't you tell me that it was my boyfriend?"

"How would I let you know? Your boyfriend paid me to test your loyalty to him. I have to do my job.

"I have to going, you people can sort out your relationship later."

Henry was still in shock. He asked her, "So you do hookup?

"I was even boasting that you are so faithful, to a point of staking $200."

"So, this is who you are.'' Her eyes turned moist, she began to beg him and shaped tears.

Henry made a statement, "I don't want to ever see you close to me again."

Henry ended his relationship and left his heart broken.

After watching the video on social media, about Henry's failed relationship with Mary.

A lady by the name Sylvia, has chatting with Greg that she wants him to link up with Henry, that she really loves him, his composure and everything about him.

Lady Sylvia is a business executive. She is possessive in nature, and well-to-do lady. She is about five years older than Henry.

Greg had been avoiding her message for sometimes, without responding. She managed to get Greg's phone number through an editor that works for him in the television department of broadcasting co-operation.

She called Greg on a Friday morning and identified herself, and pleaded to him, "I know you are avoiding my message, but please help me. I am a good and trustworthy person. Just link myself up with Henry."

He responded, "Well, I understand, I wouldn't want to drag words with you. If you are truly serious, give me like a two-day interval for me to discuss with him."

The next morning, Greg drove to Henry's house to meet him, when he blew a horn and the security officer opened the gate for him. Henry saw his car from the window. He stepped out to meet him.

"This one you are coming to my house early this morning. "I hope all is well." He responded, "Everything is fine."

"Okay, let's go inside." He went inside with him, then stood down.

"Am here to deliver a message.
