On our wedding night, my boyfriend insisted on playing games with me. What seemed like simple games like "Hide and Seek," "Drop the Handkerchief," "Eagle Catches Chicks," and "Old Wolf, What Time Is It?" was actually leading me step by step closer to death.
On our wedding night, my husband forced me to play some games with him.
Hide and Seek.
Retrieve the Lost Handkerchief.
Eagles and chicks.
Wolf, Wolf, What Time Is It?
At first, I thought it was just some playful newlywed fun.
But later, as I stared at the wolf-like faces of his entire family, I didn't hesitate to raise the hunting rifle and blow their wolf heads off.
What they didn't know was that my entire family was hunters.

I followed my boyfriend, Christopher Dobson, back to his village to meet his parents. But as soon as we entered the village, I saw a group of villagers armed with knives, beating up a seventy-year-old man.
I'd always been someone who couldn't stand injustice, so I darted forward without hesitation, shielding the old man.
The villagers, seeing this, tried to pull me away, but I immediately opened a livestream on TikTok.
"Don't come any closer! This is live for everyone to see!"
The villagers hesitated, not daring to approach. I turned to check on the old man, only to find him lying on the ground, laughing hysterically.
I thought he'd been bullied to the point of losing his mind and was about to comfort him a little. But he suddenly grabbed me and whispered urgently into my ear. "They're not human. Run!"
His words left me stunned. Before I could react, the villagers around us raised torches, encircling me completely.
The elderly village chief, leaning on a cane carved with a wolf's head, approached me with a smile.
"You've ruined our sacred ceremony. Tonight, it's your turn to play a game."
He grinned as he pulled out a deck of cards, fanning them out with the backs facing me.
"Pick one. But be careful-choose wrong, and you'll die."
I glanced at Christopher, only to find him staring at the cards with a weird expression.
It was as if my life truly depended on my choice.
Being busy with the wedding, I casually drew a card.
The village chief's cloudy eyes locked onto mine, and his lips curled into a strange smile.
"Excellent. My favorite game is Hide and Seek."
I sat on the bridal bed, a red handkerchief on my head, covering my face. My heart was pounding like a drum.
The once lively and festive atmosphere outside had turned eerily silent, as if this wasn't a wedding but a funeral.
Just as my nerves were stretched to their limit, the door suddenly burst open.
Christopher rushed in, his face pale, his body covered in blood, and a sharp dagger clutched in his hand. "Vera, take this dagger and run!"
His appearance terrified me. Before I could say a word, the door was kicked open with a loud bang.
Christopher quickly shoved me under the bedding. From beneath the covers, I caught a whiff of a pungent, wolf-like stench.
Then, a familiar voice echoed through the room.
"Where did she go?"
"I don't know."
"Remember, we need her alive. Only freshly peeled skin has that chewy texture."
The horrifying words made me shiver uncontrollably. The voice suddenly paused.
The next moment, the blanket that covered me was yanked away.
In the dim candlelight, I saw his razor-sharp fangs gleaming menacingly. My heart even skipped a beat as a claw swiped toward me.
But the pain never came. Instead, the creature in front of me let out a wail of agony.
His sharp claws dripped blood onto the floor, and his furious eyes turned to Christopher.
It was only then that I realized that the monster in front of me was none other than Christopher's cousin, Shawn!
