She also finds out some secrets that had been hidden from her for years. But now, will she betray her true mate, fate has given her, or will she go back to her father? What role will her father, Stuart, play in the bond situation? What other secrets had her father hidden from her, and how would she deal with them?

Chapter 1 The Deal

Ameera's sight sharpened as she slowly opened her eyes. The scent of damp stone and burning flames filled the air around her. She struggled to move, only to discover that she was bound to a kind of cold wall of a dank, dimly lit cell that looked more similar to the dungeon she had seen from her pack. Panic and dread surged through her being with icy manacles tightly biting into her wrists.

"Where am I!?"

Her voice echoed off the cold walls.

Her mind raced with all the pondering questions of why this had happened to her. "Why am I here? What does he want with me? How am I his mate?" She thought out loud.

Suddenly heavy treads echoed through the passage beyond the iron bars as she scented the presence of raw power, authority, and dominance as the door cracked open with a tall, strong man standing in it.

"You've regained consciousness," he said.

He moved closer, his imposing figure cast a dark shadow on the ground beside her.

Ameera swallowed her fear and asked, "Who are you?"

"I'm Alpha Kingston," He said softly. "The Alpha of the Frostbite packs."

Ameera's heart pounded hard and fast. He's the ruthless Alpha of the Frostbite packs. He dominated through brute force and annihilated competing packs numerous times, and now he's standing in front of her.

"So what do you want with me and why do you take me?" she calmly asked.

He moved closer to her and looked into her beautiful, treacherous face as his eyes were locked with hers, and a sweep of lust rushed through him. "It's because you belong to me."

Her breath cut as she furiously disagreed. " No, it's not true, you are lying, I don't believe you."

Kingston moved closer to her, crouched before her. "Your pack kept you hidden, but I know the whole truth; you're my mate, Ameera, which I had waited for since all these years."

She scoffed, "Mate?, No, that's impossible, you are not".

Kaida said again "He's our mate Ameera."

"Will you just shut up Kaida!" Ameera exclaimed.

"Kaida?, He asked out of something like concern, "Your wolf's name means border and nature? How appropriate for someone like you," Kingston said, still studying her.

According to history, in every werewolf kingdom, it had long been a cherished tradition to unite with one's fated mates under the lunar light; the full moon. For generations, it has been believed that the bonding ceremony that usually takes place on the night of the Blood Moon holds the key to unleashing the most unbreakable and eternal passions and loves. Legend has it that on this enchanted evening of the blood moon, the threads of fate are woven together, uniting two souls as one, and forever sealing their love with an eternal bond.

Kingston tenderly caressed her cheek, his fingertips brushing against her skin with a gentle touch; the instant their skin came in contact, a thrill of volatility flashed through her, lightning a blaze of basic instinct in her and Kaida.

"No, no, no way this can be happening". Ameera said as she pulled away, afraid and confused "This is unacceptable!!"

"Your fate is sealed you belong to me only, and soon will you realize why fate chooses you for me."

Ameera's heart was pounding hard and fast, and she could also hear it as Kaida kept provoking her.

You are feeling it right?" He murmured, "The bond we share?"

She gritted her teeth in frustration, with her lips curled in a snarl as she refused to acknowledge the feeling still in motion inside of her through where he touched earlier.

"No, I don't care about what fate states," she hissed, "I will never be yours!"

Kingston cocked his head with glee "You're brave," he affirms, "But either you like it or not, you belong to me, and I'm not prepared to let go."

Ameera struggled to be free from the chains behind her wrists as she yanked it, ignoring the piercing pain as the metal pierced through her skin, she bleeds.

"Moreover, If I'm your mate, then why did you lock me up like some prisoners!" she asked curiously. "Mates don't do much."

"I had no other way; your alpha wouldn't have let you come voluntarily," Kingston said. Out of surprise, Ameera asked, "My father?"

Kingston gives a nod of approval. "Alpha Stuart has hidden you from the world for years and cursed my pack, hoping to break the bond so I couldn't find you." He murmured, "Have you ever considered why your inner wolf never reacted to the presence of males in your pack?

Ameera froze in disbelief as many thoughts coursed through her mind. 'Could her father ever do something this bad? Was this why her father kept forcing her to choose other alphas who weren't her mates?' She knew her father might be so possessive and overbearing, but he couldn't hurt a whole pack just because of some bond that he believed never existed.

She remembered her father told her that there's nothing like a destined mate, that she shouldn't bother about it, that she only needed to be calm, and that her gift as a healer was more paramount than any mate bond whatsoever, but her mother said otherwise, which makes her confused.

Ameera also sees this as a way Kingston wants to trick her into believing him that her father is evil so he can be at an advantage, and she can't accept that.

She held her head high, ignoring the situation." I don't trust you; you are lying," she said. Kingston replied, "I don't need you to trust me; you will see the truth yourself."

After some periods of silence between them. Ameera asked. "Why have you come here?"

Kingston stood up straight and said," The truth is I didn't come here to argue with you, Ameera."

Ameera eye's widely opened. "Then why are you here." He grinned and said, "To make a deal with you."

"A deal?" She frownly said.

"You assist me and I will release you from captivity," Kingston said

Ameera said in disgust "You are lying."

"No, I don't lie," Kingston said with some kind of pity. "My pack is cursed, and it's only you that can help us, Ameera."
