Glory's world comes crashing when she gets a scholarship to one of the most prestigious schools in Nigeria where she is surrounded by the Rich and Well-to-do people in her country. Will she let inferiority and her not-too-good background weigh her down or will she be able to fit in with these new group of people?

Chapter 1 PROLOGUE

I remember how it was, the feel of the rain, the crowdy roads , loud noise and traffic jams, cars honking continuously, angry drivers shouting at each other in order to pass the narrow roads .

Welcome to Lagos!.

I'll never forget this city. I had been dragged out of here ten years ago, by my own mother. It had been a very sorrowful day, I'll say. Trying to prove that I hadn't meant for any of what happened to happen. My Mother had sworn to have nothing to do with me again on that day, pushing me out to go and stay with her friend in Ghana. It hadn't been easy but I was able to survive, and her friend happened to be quite different from how I thought she was going to be.

In Ghana, I never really paid any attention to anything, parties, boys , celebrations, or even friends. I never really had friends. Just my aunt and her ten years old son who happens to be the sweetest little boy I've come across in a while.

I pulled my box from the truck of the almost worn out silver Honda , and made a transfer to the uba driver before turning to face the house.

It has been so long , ten long years.

My mother ran out of the house shouting my name. I had to give her the most genuine smile I could muster because I hadn't really forgotten everything that happened . Her eager hands wrapped around me, turning me to check me . She smiled and hugged me , continued kissing me like she hadn't thrown me out all those years ago.

I pulled my bag along with me and made my way into the house, In preparation for what she was going to tell me because I also had a lot to say about all those years ago, I really did.
