Chapter 1 Waking Up In A Stranger's Bed

Mia slowly opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was met with unfamiliar walls, she seemed to be in a hotel suite or something and there was a faint scent of cologne. Panic sets in as she realized that she wasn't in her own room. Where and how did she get here? She muttered sitting up and rubbing her temples as the events of yesterday flooded her mind.

She had been sad about her father being bias towards her step sister and her mom's condition which wasn't improving, she decided to drink at Oris club alone as her best friend was out of town and now she was in the bed of an unknown stranger. She needed to leave here as soon as possible.

Mia got out of bed and heard some noises in the bathroom. What! He's still here, she thought grabbing her bag and running out of the suite. Mia ran all the way to the hotel's entrance and finally entered a taxi, she heaved a deep sigh of relief that she wasn't caught.

How was she supposed to face a stranger she had spent a night with.

Ahhhhh! This is so embarrassing, Mia shouted.

The taxi driver looked at her, Miss are you okay?

Mia regained her composure, yes am fine.

Lorenzo had finished freshening up and entered the room, he saw that the woman had already left. She dares to leave after sneaking into my room last night, he saw a piece of jewelry and picked it up, it seemed to be the anklet which she wore yesterday.

Flashback of yesterday night flooded his thoughts. Lorenzo had just finished his meeting with some foreign clients which was hosted at Oris club and entered his suite, his assistant Andy was reporting somethings to him when a woman barged into his room. She seemed to have drunk a-lot as her cheeks were reddened and she stumbled as she walked with her eyes glassy and unfocused, she walked to his seat and fell on top of him wrapping her hands around his neck.

Young master, i will take her out, Andy said trying to take her away but Lorenzo stopped him.

No need, you may go now. But young master, her identity is still unknown and she might be sent by the enemy.

It's no trouble, do you think she can hurt me in this condition?

Okay then, just be careful, he said leaving the suite.

Lorenzo looked at the face of the mysterious woman who sneaked in on him, who was she?

Mia saw him looking at her face and grinned cheekily. I'm very beautiful right ?

Lorenzo chuckled slightly, what a narcissist, I didn't even say anything to you. He really acted out of character, he had encountered such situations before and always had his bodyguards throw the women out directly without even sparring them a second glance but here he was with a woman of unknown identity in his arms. His thoughts were interrupted by Mia's drunken squabbles.

You look so handsome huh, i will give you a kiss, she said and captured his lips in a gentle kiss, she was a bit clumsy, her lips brushing against his with an endearing awkwardness. Lorenzo had drank quite a lot and with Mia stirring him up, he held her head and deepened the kiss, the gentle kiss turned into an intense and passionate kiss with each of them breathing heavily.

Lorenzo let her go so she could take in some oxygen, you know it's not really good for a woman like you to sneak into people's room like this especially bad people, he said.

Are you are bad man? The drunk Mia asked.

Uhmm, a very bad man. Lorenzo answered chuckling at her cute expression. He carried her to the bed. Go to sleep now, we will talk about your punishment tomorrow , he said putting Mia to sleep. He went to the bathroom and took a cold shower before retiring for the night.

Lorenzo held the Anklet for a while before dressing up and leaving the suite for the company. There was still enough time to look for her.

Mia got home immediately and called her best friend Isabella. Girl, i think I messed up big time last night, she said.

Were you so angry that you beat your step sister to a pulp?

Not that, something worse than that.

Huh! What happened? What did you do?

I got drunk and spent the night in a stranger's bed.

What! Mia Anderson! Isabella screamed almost destroying Mia's eardrum.

Could you stop shouting, you are making me feel worse.

I'm sorry, am just shocked. Seems you have done the 'what's the most craziest thing you have ever done?' I mean I love doing crazy things but girlll this is so wild. Do you know the man? I mean is he handsome or.....

Isa stop, i was very scared so I ran out of the suite before he could come out of the bathroom besides nothing happened between us, I'm very sure of that, he's just a nice stranger that I happened to sleep in his room, nothing more okay.

You know what, let's meet up at Oris club this night, i need to see you, Isabella proposed.

No, no, no i am not going there ever again.

Isabella laughed, that's quite funny coming from you, Oris club is literally your favorite place in town. Don't worry, with a gorgeous makeover I don't think your one night stand would recognize you.
