CUPID LOVE

Like every other day, the mansion was so quiet, the sound of every item echoes as if there were no living beings in it even though it was a huge mansion. The chef and cook already set up the dining table with different dishes. Madam May could be seen spraying some scented air fresheners into the surroundings, because the young lady doesn't like it when the air is dry.

Beam opened her room door as she steps out with a designer bag by her right arm, her wig and gown on her left arm, she looks so elegant, classy and confident, immediately the room door slightly opposite her room flung opened as if it was expecting her to come out first.

A broad figure, handsome face, with hot physical features was seen still in his night wears as he moves to block her way with a questioning look on his face. Madam May interrupted them but the couple gave her a weird look, she sensed the atmosphere was not a good one and quickly take beam's bag and her court attire off her hands as she dashed downstairs in a hurry without looking back. The staring competition began between the couples after madam May left, it goes on for almost a minute before Aron finally broke the silence by speaking.

"Not even a greeting from you?" He said as he raised a brow, then gently turned his head as if he's deliberately on what to say

"There's nothing wrong if you had greeted me first" she fired back instantly without no remorse, it's as if she doesn't want to be part of that discussion with him

He looks taken aback as he shakes his head angrily

"You know I don't like getting late to court, so be fast with whatever you have to say" she shrugs while checking the time on her wrist watch

"Sleeping in separate rooms? is this how we'll continue living?" He muttered Spreading his arm awkwardly pointing to and fro In between them

"You don't expect me to sleep in the same bed with you?!" One could see the irritation on her face and the shock on his face

"Why can't you? Am I that bad?" he flicks with embarrassment

Ouch his ego has been bruised

"We've been married for a year now and still there's no changes" he tried to remind her as he paced further trying not to be mad at her

"I told you already, I don't love you and I don't think I would ever will!" Her voice echoes as she gets slightly pissed while folding her arms together

"What! Why! But have always loved you!" One could see he was totally hurt by her response as the sadness in his eyes was so visible

"And that's why you wanted this marriage so bad that you did not consider my own feelings! You know that I don't love you" she snapped as her hands waved into the air, there was silence for a few seconds

"It's because I believe you'll end up loving me eventually" he moved closer to her with that emotional look on his face

"That was a wrong belief and you know it!" She slightly moved her body backwards feeling choked just by his presence

"I can't believe you; do you think you're still a child"

He noted as his facial expressions radiated as he clenched his fist softly

"With everything you have, the beauty, power and connections but without a loving partner by your side, it's all useless beammm!" His screams as he grabs both her palms together by putting them on his chest

"At least I'm sure I don't want you to be that loving partner" she drags off her hand from his grip looking disgusted

"You're only being respected because you're married to me!!" He looks at her hurriedly from head to toe using his palm to play along

"Oh, I doubt anyone would want to disrespect me knowing the consequences" a wicked smile can be seen forming at the corner of her mouth

"What!" Aron becomes furious as he placed a palm over his forehead feeling over stressed

He tried saying something but the words wouldn't just come out, it's like he's holding himself back from speaking.

"Excuse me, I'm running late" she gracefully walked away as one could sense the eagerness in her to just go away from him. leaving Aron in disbelief as he stares at her walking away

He paced angrily back to his room and slam the door so hard that it could possibly break into pieces.

Her walking steps was so fast, madam May had to catch up to talk to her as she heads to the car garage in annoyance.

"Don't bother! I'm not eating! am late!"

she shut her off before she starts talking, knowing what she wants to say already...

Her driver was on standby but she took the car keys from him and dismissed him saying "I'm driving! go home to your family and rest for today.

one could see the joy on the driver's face as he nods his head profusely while his boss drives off.

Madam May was disappointed because it's becoming a routine of her not eating before leaving for work, she walks back into the house sadly but was questioned by the chef and maids.

Head maid:

"Why is the boss always so cold?!"

Chef:

"She doesn't smile at all"

Maid:

"Even her husband couldn't make her happy for once"

Madam gave a sad smile as she stares at them and said "She's was not like this before marriage, she was the sweet type I hope one day she finds what truly makes her happy" the atmosphere was full of pitiful groans.

Chef:

Then she shouldn't have gotten married

They all sluggishly went back to their duties.

-- Aron's Bedroom --

He was seated on the edge of the bed, bending down shaking his head in regret while each palm was lapping on his head, the scene earlier between himself and beam was a heated one he never wanted but was frustrated and tired, he's no longer worried about her, now he just wants her to regret treating him this way. He wants to punish her so badly that she would come begging to have him back, one thing is sure, she has everything, he's confused to what he could do to make her love him and wants him back.

"She probably doesn't feel emotions" he kept on wondering why she's not showing any slight affection

"Or else why would she not love me after living together for a year" he kept on longing for her while brainstorming

"I should have just let her be, I shouldn't have forced this marriage upon her"

"I regret the day tan introduced me to her!" He stomps his feet while shutting his eyes so tightly

All I just wanted was to have her by my side and be my woman, who on earth is going to believe me that I'm married but have never been intimate with my wife for once, she doesn't even use my surname, she keeps using her family name, like who the hell does that! It's all because her family is so powerful and well connected.

Of course, her father is an Attorney General and her mother is the head of the Oman Law Firm here in Bangkok, that's enough to make her arrogant, not talk of her being the best in her field, a very pompous and beautiful mean woman.

A call came in from an unknown number, and yes, I'm familiar with the number so I picked up after I left it to ring for some seconds while making sure there's nobody eavesdropping on me.

"Hey" Trying to be cool and relieved, at least I have someone who wants me

"I missed you" she said over the phone with a seductive voice

I smiled sweetly because shes one of the tools that makes me happy and keeps me company unlike my wife

"But I told you not to call me when I'm home!" She doesn't ever listen to instructions

"What should I do? You wouldn't call me" she speaks so calmly

It's really difficult to be cheating on the most beautiful woman

"Let's hook up tonight"

I really need to be happy because beam is really a joy killer

"Really! Uhm"

I could sense the joy in her voice over the phone

"Let's meet at the same place, okay?"

"Okay!"

--- Court Premises ---

Beam came out from the court full of charisma and vigor because she just won another case today, people in the courtroom were congratulating her as she was heading out. Tan could be seen chasing her as he tries to catch up with her.

"Beam!!"

Tan catches up to her and a smile is all over his face

Congratulations!" He said as he keeps grinning from ear to ear

"Thank you! You always do this whenever I win a case"

She smiled and shakes her head

Tan could be seen so lost while staring at beautiful face

"I love to do so because you always amuse me whenever you handle a case" he compliments her indirectly

"Is that a compliment?" She smirks as she folds her arm

"Everyone knows you're the best and also you were the smartest then in school" he couldn't just stop praising her

"Uhm hmm" clears her throat

They both stared at each other for awhile

"Is my brother treating you well?!" Tan tries to make sure she is happy in her Marriage in case he might have a chance

"We're just okay!" She responded with a simple smile

"I shouldn't have introduced you two, he took you away from me" tan regretted his actions in the past

He looks so sad because he could have just been transparent instead of hiding

"Because you were a coward and not vocal about your feelings "she added trying to tease him

"Ouch! That hurts" he laughs it off even though he never for once not think about her, but she's his brother wife and there's nothing he could do

Tan looks so proud of her "let's have lunch together, it's my treat" he proudly stated while hoping she'll give in but already guessed the answer

"No! I have a meeting at the firm, can't have lunch with you" she muttered out while checking the time on her wrist watch

"Oops! Well, if you say so but you have to make it up to me "he was disappointed that she couldn't eat lunch with him, but this is not the first time, so he wasn't that hurt

"Sure! Bye" she waved while hoping into her sports car given to her as a birthday Gift by her father; off she goes.

Tan watches her leaves till her car was no longer in sight. He could not stop but admire the power and aura bestowed upon her, he giggles feeling so excited.

"If only I could turn back time, then I wouldn't have hesitated to make you mine" he sniffs in the air as he smiles to himself
