In modern-day Seoul, emotionally guarded artist So-yeon and charming lawyer Jae-min navigate the blurred lines between love and lust. What starts as flirtation slowly deepens into real connection, but hidden family secrets and past relationships threaten to tear them apart. As they confront painful truths and emotional wounds, they discover that true love is not about perfection, but about choosing each other-even through the storms.
A vibrant Friday morning. Food stalls, flashing signs, couples holding hands. A street performer sings a ballad under glowing sun lights.
KANG SO-YEON;
A (22) year old, energetic, sharp-tongued, yet clumsy, student and a writer, rushes through the crowd in a hoodie, her backpack bouncing behind her. She's late-again.
SO-YEON (mind voice):
(sighs)
First rule of being invisible in a city of ten million people: Don't be late for a scholarship interview. And second rule? Don't crash into a chaebol (Rich family) heir.
Before she could know it, She slams into a tall, suited man holding a coffee. The cup spills all over his white shirt.
HAN JAE-MIN;
A cold, distant, annoyingly handsome, young Man, a Lawyer and a CEO of HJM media group.
After the crash he doesn't even flinch, he just looks down at the stain, with unreadable expression.
SO-YEON;
(mortified)
Oh my God-I'm so sorry! I didn't see you and the coffee-your shirt! Are you burnt?
JAE-MIN;
(dryly)
No. But my patience is.
SO-YEON
(babbling)
I can pay for the dry cleaning! Huh! Actually, no, I can't-I mean, I will! Later. Maybe next week?
Then she reaches for tissues in her bag, only to pull out a pair of old socks.
JAE-MIN
(deadpan)
You plan to clean my shirt... with socks?
SO-YEON
No! That's not-ugh!
She said dashing off, leaving him staring after her.
Later that night, Jae-min went back to work, he walks into a sleek office building. His assistant, JUNG HYE-JIN in his (30s), hands him a towel and raises an eyebrow.
HYE-JIN;
Another fangirl?
JAE-MIN;
No..... Just a human hurricane in sneakers.
The Next day at SEOUL UNIVERSITY, ( writer's room) So-yeon walks into a cramped club room filled with posters, scripts, and instant ramen. Her best friend, CHOI NA-RI, lounges on the couch with sunglasses on indoors.
NA-RI;
You missed the committee meeting.
SO-YEON;
I ran into a walking Gucci mannequin and ruined his shirt. Pretty sure I'm cursed.
NA-RI;
Did he have a jawline that could slice tofu?
SO-YEON;
Sharp enough to haunt me in my dreams.
They both burst into laughter.
The same day at a cafe, Jae-min, in casual wear, meets his cousin LEE MIN-WOO in his late 20s, slick, calculating, always in designer shades.
MIN-WOO;
So. The shareholders want fresh talent. You still playing Ice Prince?
JAE-MIN;
You mean not sleeping with interns?
MIN-WOO;
Touché. Just don't get too soft. This isn't a rom-com (romance comedy).
JAE-MIN;
You sure? Because I think I just met the female lead.
A week later, So-yeon came for an Audition, in the Auditorium, she walks into a guest lecture. On stage: she saw Han Jae-min, the guest speaker on media production. Their eyes meet and her jaw drops in surprise.
SO-YEON (Mind voice);
No. Freaking. Way.
JAE-MIN (mind voice);
Socks Girl!!?
He smirks.
They all settled down and So-yeon was trying to avoid eye contact as Jae-min lectures. But Jae-min couldn't let her be, he called her out during Q&A: "You. In the hoodie. Any Question?" Asked Jae-min.
So-yeon muttering curses under her breath, whilst Na-ri was filming everything for her story: "This is gold." Said Na-ri.
Later on, at the campus courtyard Jae-min corners So-yeon by the vending machine.
JAE-MIN;
You owe me dry cleaning.
SO-YEON;
You owe me therapy.
JAE-MIN;
Let's call it even-if you can write a short script for my new web series.
SO-YEON;
Wait, what? She said in shock.
JAE-MIN;
You want to be a writer, right? And I need a script from a "real" student. So you interested or not?
She stares at him.
SO-YEON;
Are you blackmailing me... into my dream job?
JAE-MIN;
You're welcome.
