Okay, so Raven's Peak was this super quiet town, where not a whole lot ever happened, until this mysterious character showed up. People called them the Shadow Weaver, and get this – they could apparently mess with reality itself. Things took a dark turn when some really awful murders started happening, and naturally, everyone started looking at the town's werewolf community, who mostly kept to themselves. Then comes Aria, this young woman who gets thrown into the middle of everything as the next full moon's coming closer. She's got to pick her way through a bunch of lies, Then she meets Elijah. He's this really strange guy who seems to know way too much about her past. She doesn't know if she can trust him, or if he's just going to make things worse. The thing about Raven's Peak is, nothing is what you would expect. And the truth? Well, it's way scarier than Aria ever thought possible.

Chapter 1 The Awakening

Aria woke up thinking, Ugh, another Tuesday. She rubbed her eyes to wake up properly. Then she noticed something unusual. Normally, her room was a disaster-clothes all over the floor, desk in a complete mess-but now it was spotless; the clothes were folded, everything was put away, and the desk was totally clear. No way?

She sat up and looked around. She didn't recall having cleaned the night before. No way! She had gone to bed early, so tired from work, with no energy.

The covers thrown were by Aria back and she swung her legs over the side of the bed. She stood, did a bit of stretching, then went to the window. She grabbed the curtains and yanked them open letting the morning light in.

Fine, there was some more issue. The sky was dark, gloomy and the colour grey, not a speck of blue. And what about the trees? They were literally going mad, dancing every which way. Seemed like a storm was approaching.

But wait, there is more. Across the street she spotted someone. It was a woman who was tall and serious, her long black hair and green eyes were impossible to miss. What was she doing that she should just stand there?

Aria shivered at the thought that the woman was looking directly at her. What's more, she even smiled and nodded. Aria hated being watched. It made her anxious but also inquisitive. Could it be just her imagination?

Aria watched as the woman turned and walked away. Where was she going? Aria felt lost and that wasn't normal for her.

What was going on? Who was that woman and what exactly was she doing across the street?

Aria shook her head. It's just your imagination, she whispered. Still, she knew that something wasn't right.

Turning from the window, Aria saw something lying on her desk. It was a small leather book

It looked old, with weird symbols on the cover. "What are those?"

Aria picked it up, feeling interested and scared. She opened it and her eyes widened at the handwritten notes and strange pictures it contained-she couldn't make sense of any of it.

The next thing she knew the first page had those words: Aria, you're not who you think you are. You're something more.

Aria shivered. What did that mean? Who wrote this? And why was it here? Was someone playing a joke on her?

Aria froze as a quiet noise broke the silence. She caught her breath and turned just as her apartment door started to open. The woman from across the street was standing there.

She smiled a little and nodded softly.

"Aria, we need to talk," she said.

Aria felt a chill as she stepped back, her heart beat faster. Who was this woman and why was she here? She raced against time within herself. Should she demand to know what the woman wanted? Should she reach for her phone and dial 911? Every part of her made it clear that she should be careful.

But when Aria looked into the woman's eyes, she saw something that she hadn't expected – kindness and concern. That made her pause. Maybe she wasn't dangerous after all.

"Who are you?" Aria asked, trying to sound calm.

The woman smiled. "My name is Lilith. I can see you feel lost but not anymore because I'm here to help you."

Aria's thoughts were in total disarray, she had no clue how everything occurred.

What did Lilith mean? How could a stranger help her? She was expected to have a good explanation of her absence or Aria would be angry

But when Aria looked into Lilith's eyes, she looked for a glimmer of something-of life-that might give her a tiny sliver of hope.

"Come with me," Lilith said softly, extending her hand.

Aria was uncertain. It didn't seem right to trust someone unknown. Yet, staring into Lilith's eyes, she felt it was necessary.

Slowly, she took Lilith's hand, and they left the apartment.

Everything around Aria was strange as she walked. It was as if the city had become something else. The streets looked brighter, and even the lights, the wind, and a couple of sounds of people laughing were more pronounced than usual-more vibrant. It was almost as if she were witnessing everything for the first time.

Lilith took her away from the bustling part of the town, to a peaceful café that was far out of the city. The place sat like a nice warm cozy corner as if it were one of those spots that time had forgotten. They settled at a table by the window and Lilith got two coffees ordered immediately.

"So, Aria," Lilith said, "it's time we talked."

Aria nodded, feeling excited and scared.

Her heart was racing.
