Chapter 1 The Attack

Dante's POV

"We're almost there," I growled, my eyes fixed on the Rennari Pack's settlement in the distance. "I can see their pack from here."

My horse, a majestic black stallion, snorted in response, sensing my tension. I urged him forward, and he thundered into a gallop, devouring the ground beneath his hooves. My pack followed close behind, their faces set with determination.

As we approached the Rennari Pack's entrance, the foxes were already transforming, their slender bodies contorting into sleek, bushy-tailed forms. The Alpha, a sly grey fox with piercing yellow eyes, stood at the forefront, his hackles raised in a threat display.

"Well, well, well," I sneered, reining in my horse. "Look what we have here. The Rennari Pack, all gathered and ready to be slaughtered."

The Alpha fox, Orion, took a step forward, his tail twitching. "You're a devious alpha, Dante. Always finding trouble with every other pack. And now, you've come to attack us, driven by your insatiable thirst for power."

I laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You're just a foolish little fox, Orion. You think you can stand against me? I'll crush you and your pack beneath my heel, and no one will even remember your name."

Orion's eyes flashed with anger. "You'll never leave this place alive, Dante. We'll defend our pack to the death."

With a snarl, I launched myself at him, my horse charging forward as my pack followed, eager for battle. The Rennari Pack met us head-on, their fox forms darting and weaving between our horses' legs.

The clash of teeth and claws, the scent of blood filled the air as the battle raged on. I fought with precision, my movements calculated to inflict maximum damage.

But Ryker was no pushover. He was a cunning foe, and his pack fought with a ferocity that bordered on desperation.

I would enjoy breaking them.

As I charged at orion, my horse's hooves pounded the earth, sending shockwaves through the ground. Orion, anticipating my attack, dodged to the side, his agile fox form weaving between the horses' legs.

My pack, a mix of experienced warriors and younger wolves, followed my lead, attacking the Rennari Pack with ferocity. Our pack's beta, a burly wolf named Thane, clashed with his beta, a sleek red fox .

Thane, with his superior strength, pinned the red fox to the ground, his jaws snapping mere inches from his throat. The red fox, refusing to yield, raked his claws across Thane's chest, drawing blood.

Meanwhile, my pack's warriors, Viktor and Gunnar , worked together, taking down several Rennari Pack members. Viktor, a skilled fighter, used his powerful jaws to crush the spine of a large fox, while Gunna, with his speed and agility, dodged the attacks of two smaller foxes, striking back with deadly precision.

Orion's pack, however, refused to back down. They fought with a desperate ferocity, using every trick in the book to take down my pack. One of Orion's warriors, a cunning vixen, managed to sneak past our defenses, striking at my horse's flank and causing him to rear up in pain.

I leapt off my horse, landing on the ground with a thud. Orion, seeing his chance, attacked me with a fierce snarl. Our bodies clashed, teeth and claws flashing in the sunlight as we rolled across the ground, each trying to gain the upper hand.

But I was the stronger fighter, and slowly, I began to gain the advantage. His movements grew weaker, his breathing more labored. I pinned him to the ground, before I could close my jaws around his throat, I was attacked by a purple female fox.

She took Orion and ran out of the battle field, before I could stand up back to my feet they vanished into thin air. I became so angry as I began to attack the other foxes.

The rest of the Rennari Pack was defeated, and they slowly began to surrender, their tails between their legs. My pack, victorious, stood tall, their chests heaving with exhaustion.

I rose to my feet, A little fox pinned beneath me. "This is what happens when your Alpha oppose me," I declared, my voice ringing out across the battlefield. "I am Dante, alpha of the Bloodmoon Pack. And I will not be defeated."

As I looked out over the destroyed landscape, the once-strong Rennari Pack has now been defeated at my feet. With a loud, victorious roar, I shouted, "The world will now be mine! Every pack will obey me, and all will fear my name!" My voice echoed through the air, a bold statement of my fierce ambition and desire for power.

As my triumphant declaration echoed through the air, my pack erupted into a frenzy of victorious cheers, their thunderous roars and shouts of jubilation merging into a loud chorus that shook the very foundations of the earth, we proudly announce our pack's victory and strength.

The fact that the Bloodmoon Pack had emerged victorious, my power and authorities are now unchallenged as my pack stood supreme, the strongest and ruler of the entire shifter world.

As we made our way back to the Bloodmoon Pack's territory, our victorious cheers and laughter still echoing through the air, I caught sight of a familiar figure lurking in the distance. The same purple female fox I had seen earlier, her piercing green eyes fixed intently on me.

My instincts flared, and I growled low in my throat. Who was this mysterious fox, and what did she want? I signaled to one of my wolves, a sleek hunter named Viktor.

"Viktor, go catch that fox," I ordered, my voice low and even.

Viktor nodded and took off, his paws pounding the earth as he chased after the purple fox. I watched, my eyes narrowed, as the fox darted and weaved, her speed and agility impressive.

But Viktor was not slow either. He was one of my best hunters, and I had every confidence that he would catch the fox.

I waited, my heart pounding in anticipation, as Viktor closed in on his prey. But just as he was about to pounce, the fox suddenly vanished into thin air.

Viktor stopped, his ears perked up in confusion. He sniffed the air, trying to pick up the fox's scent, but it was as if she had never been there at all.

And then, Viktor's eyes met mine, his expression sheepish.

"I...I lost her," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

My eyes narrowed, my mind racing with questions. Who was this fox, and how had she managed to evade Viktor?
