Elena and her younger brother Tobias vanish without a trace, only to find themselves trapped in the decaying, nightmarish realm of an ancient witch. The Hollow Mother-an entity of whispers and shadows-hungers for more than just their fear; she wants their souls. As the siblings fight to escape, they uncover the witch's dark history, the twisted magic that binds her, and the terrifying truth-leaving her domain doesn't mean she lets go. Even as they flee back to the real world, Tobias bears a mark, a scar that pulses with something unnatural. The whispers don't stop. The shadows still move. And the witch is never truly gone. A chilling horror story filled with creeping dread, eerie suspense, and the lingering terror of something watching from the dark. Even if you escape... she will always find a way back.

Chapter 1 The Hollow Wood

The trees loomed like twisted skeletons in the fading light, their gnarled fingers reaching for the sky. The Hollow Wood had always been a place of whispers-a cursed stretch of forest where the ground never quite felt solid, where the wind always seemed to carry the sound of unseen voices.

Elena Whitmore shivered as she stepped past the last of the village lanterns, their warm glow unable to pierce the darkness ahead. She had promised herself she would never set foot in the Hollow Wood. But promises meant little when her younger brother, Tobias, had vanished inside it three nights ago.

The villagers had warned her.

"He's gone, Elena. If the Hollow Wood takes you, it doesn't give you back."

But she couldn't accept that. Tobias was only ten-too small, too scared. He wouldn't have run away on his own. Something had lured him in.

Clutching a lantern in her trembling hands, Elena stepped forward. The cold air wrapped around her throat like unseen fingers. Every step felt heavier, as if the ground was swallowing her whole.

Then, she heard it.

A whisper. Soft. Almost gentle.

"Elena..."

She spun around, but the path behind her was empty. The lantern's flickering light barely held back the suffocating dark.

"Tobias?" Her voice cracked.

The whisper came again. Closer.

"Elena, come see..."

Her breath hitched. That wasn't Tobias. The voice was too smooth, too knowing. It slithered through the trees like smoke, curling around her ears.

Her pulse pounded as she moved forward, lantern shaking in her grip. Then, she saw them-strange symbols carved into the trees, oozing a thick black sap. They pulsed as if alive, as if breathing.

And then, from the shadows, a figure stepped forward.

Tall. Cloaked. A face hidden beneath the folds of a deep hood.

A whispering voice curled into her mind, bypassing her ears entirely.

"You shouldn't have come here, child."

The lantern's light flickered violently. The darkness pressed in, swallowing the trees, the path, everything.

And then, the world went black.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
