I gulped hard as his breath fanned my face. This was it but then why do I feel mousey. I've waited for this moment, to make him lose everything. It would be the last of him...but... He trapped me between the table, searching my eyes for an answer. His gaze affected me in so many ways. Sweat beads on my face as he tightened his arms around my waist. My heart felt like exploding as i quivered under his hold. We exchanged breath as how heads were pinned together. I could barely concentrate as I fluster my lashes. His hotness simmers through the linen gown I wore. "We shouldn't be doing this" I muttered barely recognizing my voice because it was felt like a weak moan. My wolf glares at him. Her mouth retracted as she barred her teeth. A warning that I shouldn't fall for that. He sighed softly and said; "I know Tricia, but I can't help myself from falling" I almost rolled another line, tried to push him back but he captured my lips, twirling my tongue to his taste. I went numb, not restraining him and the dagger in my hand fell. However, I shuddered in hold when I heard a little voice called; "Dad?" *** She's rejected by her mate on her wedding day and humiliates her. Trevor's POV
She was beautiful, that's what I could say, staring at her from a distance as she majestically walked closer to me. Her bright smile as we locked eyes. Today was a special day for us, where we'd be together at last.
The crowd stood in awe of her entrance, she stole the spotlight.
Of course, everyone was curious as to how I could keep one woman until that very moment. Uncontrollable feelings surged through my body.
I took her hand and twirled her into my arms, walking side by side. She seems shy and I reel up with excitement.
All the scenery and people around us dissolved. It was her and I, alone. My hand brushed across her cheek to feel her so close.
My body was acting on its own, no chains to hold me back from having her. It was our wedding and certainly every girl's dream, but it left me wondering, did she dream of such a wedding?
Her lips were plump and inviting. I wanted to kiss them. My wolf Rico lags its tongue out, his teeth retract as his nose shrinks.
He hollers while shyly ducking his head to the ground. Obviously, he couldn't wait for her to be his.
She fluttered her lashes and I sucked my breath. I peered at her with teary eyes as if my decision might be devastating for her.
To be sincere, I was confused over the emotions I had for her. She wasn't in my league, yet she chose to stay.
I never treated her rightly, yet her love was unconditional.
Perhaps we were mates. That's why Rico was so attracted to her that he wanted to cross her body, feeling every ounce of her.
However, I just can't have her. I threw my gaze at the congregation gathered.
They anticipated for a moment. Little pups roam about as though it were their property.
She wanted the wedding to happen in the human way. Her mom's last wish.
The Pope was in front of us, reading the happy ever-after lines. Goosebumps held me.
If I'd say yes, then her fate with me would be death.
The Pope read the lines again. I felt under pressure. Sweat beaded my face as I gulped hard, not taking my eyes off her.
She narrowed her eyes at me, jinxed and awaiting my response. Rico seems curious too.
It seemed as though a cat held my tongue. I could feel my heart fluster.
It wasn't a mutual feeling either way, but then why didn't I want to let go?
She was mine. I knew I had told her that. I promised her the heavens, but...
"We can't go on with this wedding" I announced, stepping away from her.
My soft gaze hardened as I heard a loud gasp in the hall. It was a shrink sound. The instrumentalists had ceased their orchestra.
They threw their gaze at us. Her mother stood up, baffled by my statement. Rico growls at me.
I could tell he intends to slash me with his claws.
She pulled out her veil and my breath almost ceased as her lucid face stared passionately at me.
My lips were shaky. Her beauty had almost made me reconsider my words again.
I knew she found it awkward and still wore a bright smile on.
She kept up with my tantrums till this very moment.
"You're joking? Right?" She mutters in between her teeth, taking a calculative step forward, but I warned her to stay away.
"I can't have a wolfless mate!" I retort, avoiding her gaze and panting softly.
"Trevor, what are you saying?" She questioned, holding the hem of her garment as her voice was fading.
"I reject you as a mate! I can't go on with this relationship... I love someone else..."
"There can't be us" I added, my head aching and my heart throbbed as those words were so difficult for me to roll out.
I paused and shifted my gaze to the congregation again.
There she was, the woman I believe was my world.
A doleful look wore on her as I paced towards her.
She was abused as I stretched my hand for her to hold on to.
Cameras flooded our faces. I knew the media would make use of such exclusive gist, but I didn't mind.
She shook her head at me, quite guilty that we had betrayed the bride by keeping her in the dark.
My bride drew closer to me and her mom seemed like one that would pass out.
"Please, don't... "Trevor, we could talk this out" she whispered to me, holding it firmly in my hand, but I hauled her away.
The murmurs in the crowd were becoming loud as I heard some snickers at Tricia, my supposed bride.
She drew closer to me, holding hold of her garment and tried to hold my hand again, but I accidentally elbowed her and she fell.
I shuddered, intending to help her, but no! It's the only way to make her believe that we were done.
I clenched my fist, wanting to knock out the teeth of those who spoke villy against her, but then I buried my heart.
"Trevor, this is insane..." Fiona, my supposed lover intended to speak, to clear her name.
"Because I love you, and she can't separate us again" I cut in. She stared at me with disbelief.
Her jaw dropped as I let out a wry smile. I could tell she never expected such a day to come.
"Let's not keep it a secret anymore" I beckoned with a bright look at her.
"No! Please don't!" My supposed mother-in-law pleads, holding my leg and I flinch away.
I locked arms with Fiona and walked her to the altar.
"We us...pope!" I ordered. The Pope groaned softly as his gaze was on the rejected bride.
I took a glimpse at Tricia. She was fuming, hopeless and covered in tears. She held her gown, embraced and ran away from the venue.
Her mother collapsed, and the uproar became louder.
The last I heard of her was her death.
