The goddess of the moon came down to earth for a tour, just for a short period but fell in love with the Alpha who has a Luna... HAZEL. Hazel knowing she have been defeated in the battle of love with the goddess, invoked the gods. OH DEAR gODS, COME AND TAKE THY BRIDE.
HAZEL
The sound of laughter filled the corridors of the Silverfang packhouse. It was a rare kind of moment, this absence of duty and war. But tonight, for once, I allowed myself to indulge in it.
Cassian's arm was draped over my shoulders as we walked toward our chambers, his deep chuckle vibrating against my skin. His presence and warmth, the scent of pine and dark spices, it was intoxicating.
"I swear, Tobias nearly lost his mind when you knocked him flat in training today," Cassian smirked, amusement flickering in his eyes. "I almost felt bad for him."
I laughed, nudging him playfully. "Almost?"
"Almost," he repeated, pulling me closer. "But then I remembered he bet against you in the last sparring match, so I consider it justice."
I rolled my eyes, but my heart swelled with warmth. This was how it had always been between us effortlessly, always teasing each other, and a little electric romance to spicen it.
Cassian, my mate. My Alpha.
He reached for my hand, twining his fingers through mine as we stepped into our chambers. The fire was already on. I sighed contentedly, kicking off my boots and stretching, letting the weight of the day melt away.
Cassian was already behind me, his hands finding my waist. "Tired?"
"Not enough to stop you," I murmured, turning in his arms.
His smirk deepened, but there was something else in his gaze... something softer. "You never stop, Hazel."
I tilted my head. "Neither do you."
He sighed, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "That's why we make a terrifying pair."
I smiled, rising on my toes to kiss him. His lips were warm, firm, and when he kissed me back, it wasn't just passion.. it was home.
He pressed me against the wall, his hands trailing down my arms, then lower. The fire crackled beside us, and the world outside ceased to exist.
For now, there was only us.
Morning came too soon.
Sunlight streamed through the tall windows, the rays kissing my bare skin as I stirred beneath the silk sheets. The scent of Cassian lingered on me, in me, around me.
I turned, expecting to find him still beside me.
But his side of the bed was empty.
I sat up, frowning slightly, only to hear the sound of voices beyond the door.
Curious, I wrapped myself in a robe and stepped out onto the balcony overlooking the courtyard.
Cassian stood below, shirtless, sweat glistening on his tanned skin as he trained with Tobias and Riven. They moved like predators, shifting and attacking with brutal precision. A crowd of warriors had gathered to watch, but I didn't miss the way Cassian's eyes lifted the moment he sensed me.
His gaze locked onto mine, and a slow, knowing smile spread across his face.
I leaned against the railing, smirking. "You're going easy on them."
Cassian's laughter rumbled through the courtyard. "Care to test that theory, Luna?"
A ripple of excitement ran through the crowd. My reputation as a warrior wasn't just for show.
I grinned, swinging myself over the railing and landing gracefully on the training grounds below.
The warriors stepped back, murmuring as I approached my mate. Cassian tossed me a wooden training sword, his eyes flashing and was ready for the challenge.
I caught it with ease, rolling my shoulders. "Let's see if you've still got it, Alpha."
He struck first, way too fast and powerful. I barely dodged his first strike, countering with a sharp twist of my wrist that forced him to retreat a step.
The crowd held their breath.
Cassian smirked. "Still fast."
"Still predictable," I teased, dodging another attack.
Our movements became a dance, steel meeting steel, the sounds of impact echoing across the courtyard. He was stronger, but I was faster. I used that to my advantage, slipping past his defenses and striking the inside of his wrist. His sword clattered to the ground.
A victorious grin spread across my face as I leveled my sword at his chest. "Yield?"
Cassian stared at me for a long moment, then, without warning.. he attacked.
I barely had time to react before he knocked the sword from my hands, catching me around the waist and twisting us both to the ground. I gasped as my back hit the dirt, his weight pressing me down.
His grin was pure, unfiltered arrogance. "Yield?"
I narrowed my eyes. "That was a cheap move."
His lips hovered over mine. "And yet, it worked."
A slow warmth curled through my body. The warriors around us erupted into cheers and laughter, some making playful remarks about their Alpha and Luna's "methods" of settling disputes.
Cassian didn't move right away. He just looked at me, really looked at me before pressing a lingering kiss to my lips.
"I love you, Hazel," he murmured against my mouth.
My breath caught.
Not because I didn't know it. Not because I hadn't heard it before.
But because every time he said it, it felt like the first time.
"I love you too," I whispered.
And in that moment, nothing else mattered, it was just us.
After training, I spent the afternoon in the heart of the pack, among my people.
I visited the healers' ward, checking on injured warriors, offering my presence as comfort. I stopped by the orphanage, watching as pups tackled each other in playful fights, their laughter filling the air.
I helped distribute food in the kitchen, spoke to the elders about upcoming council meetings, and even settled a dispute between two young wolves fighting over patrol shifts.
A Luna wasn't just a figurehead. She wasn't just the Alpha's mate.
She was the heart of the pack.
And I took that role seriously.
When I returned to our chambers that evening, I was exhausted to my bones. But it was a good exhaustion. The kind that reminded me I was exactly where I belonged.
Cassian was already inside, standing by the fire, a glass of whiskey in his hand.
He turned as I entered, his gaze softening. "Busy day?"
I sighed, sinking onto the couch. "The usual."
He smirked, walking over and kneeling before me, pressing a kiss to my knee. "That's because you refuse to rest."
I ran my fingers through his dark hair. "I'll rest when I'm dead."
Cassian chuckled, but there was something deeper in his eyes. Admiration and adoration.
He rose, lifting me effortlessly into his arms and carrying me toward our bed.
I laughed. "my lor..."
"No arguments," he murmured, laying me down and crawling over me. "Tonight, we rest."
And as his lips claimed mine, I let myself believe that nothing would ever change.
That this love, this peace, this us...
Would last forever.
