Enisa, a young woman, was faced with a difficult situation. Her father had written a will stating that she must get married before her next birthday in order to inherit his property. However, her stepmother had other plans and manipulated Enisa's suitor into marrying her instead. As Enisa struggled to come to terms with her situation, she began to wonder if she would be able to find a way to claim her rightful inheritance. With time running out, Enisa made the bold decision. But what would happen next?

Chapter 1 The will

Enisa stepped out of her sleek, black sedan and onto the manicured driveway of her family's opulent mansion. Her long, raven hair cascaded down her back, framing her porcelain complexion and piercing emerald eyes. At twenty one, Enisa was a stunning beauty, but her elegance concealed a tangled web of emotions.

Born into wealth and privilege, Enisa's life seemed picture-perfect. However, beneath the surface, she felt suffocated by her family's expectations and the weight of their dark secrets. Her father's mysterious death still lingered, unresolved.

Today marked a painful milestone – one year since Enisa's father passed away. The memories still felt like an open wound, refusing to heal.

As she stood in the grand foyer, Enisa's gaze drifted to the portrait of her father, hanging above the fireplace. His warm smile and piercing eyes seemed to whisper words of encouragement, but the pain of his loss still lingered.

Enisa's heart raced as she ascended the staircase, her eyes fixed on the grandfather clock in the foyer. 1:00 PM .

Dawn Mark, Enisa's family home, was filled with an air of somberness , everyone wore a gloomy face.

The grand chandelier hung dimly, casting shadows on the faces of the mourners. Enisa Dawn, sat rigidly, her eyes fixed on the lawyer, Mr. Fredrick

As she entered the study, Enisa's family lawyer, Mr. Jenkins, greeted her with a somber expression.

"Shall we begin?" Mr. Jenkins asked, his voice low and grave.

Enisa nodded, her palms growing damp.

"Reginald Dawn's last will and testament," Mr. Fredrick began, his voice low and solemn.

Enisa's heart sank. Her father's passing still felt surreal. She had always been close to him, and his sudden death left a gaping hole in her life.

"...to my beloved daughter, Enisa Dawn," Mr. Fredrick continued, "I leave Dawns Industries, but under one condition: she must marry before her 22nd birthday."

Enisa's eyes widened. What? She felt like she'd been punched in the gut.

"If Enisa fails to marry within the specified timeframe," Mr. Fredrick went on, "Dawns Industries will be transferred to my wife, Victoria Dawns."

This can't be. Enisa's mind reeled. Her father knew how much she valued her independence.

She had always known that her father's company was a significant part of his legacy, but she had never expected to inherit it. Not so soon, at least. Her father had always been clear about his plans for the company, and she had assumed that he would leave it to her in a few years, when she was more prepared to take over.

But now, with her father's passing, the timeline has been accelerated. Enisa felt a sense of panic rising up inside her. She had always thought she had more time, more space to figure out her own path before taking on the responsibility of running the company.

Mr. Fredrick leaned back in his chair, "I know this is a lot to take in, Enisa. But I want to assure you that your father was confident in your ability to take over the company.

Victoria, Enisa's stepmother, smiled sweetly, but her eyes gleamed with triumph. Sophia, Enisa's stepsister, seemed bored, checking her phone.

"This is ridiculous," Enisa protested, her voice shaking. "Father wouldn't do this."

Mr. Fredrick's' expression softened. "I'm afraid it's quite clear, Enisa. Your father wanted to ensure the continuation of Dawn Industries."

Enisa's thoughts swirled. Marry before 22? It was absurd. She had always prioritized education and career.

As she looked around the room, Enisa saw the faces of her family members, all of whom were staring at her with a mix of emotions. Her aunt, Elma looked worried, while her stepmother, Victoria, seemed triumphant.

Victoria's voice dripped with honey. "Don't worry, dear Enisa. I'll help you find a suitable husband."

Enisa's gaze met Victoria's, and she felt a surge of anger and resentment. Victoria had always been the one who had taken over the company's finances, making decisions that had affected the company's growth. Enisa had always felt like Victoria was more interested in her own power and wealth than in the well-being of the company.

"Enisa, dear, are you okay?"Aunt Elma asked, coming over to her and putting a hand on her shoulder.

Enisa nodded, trying to compose herself. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just...shocked, I guess."

Elma nodded sympathetically. "It's a lot to take in, sweetie. But I know you can do this. You're capable and smart."

Enisa forced a smile, trying to appear confident. But inside, she was panicking. She had no idea how to run a company, and the thought of taking over Dawn Mark in just twelve months was daunting.

As the lawyer, Mr. Fredrick, continued to read the will, Enisa's mind wandered to the challenges ahead. She knew she had to prove herself to her family, to Victoria, and to herself. She had to show that she was capable of running Dawn Mark, and that she was worthy of her father's legacy.

But as she looked at Victoria, Enisa felt a sense of determination rising up inside her. She was going to take over Dawn Mark, no matter what it took. She was going to prove to herself and to everyone else that she was capable of more than they thought.

The reading of the will continued, but Enisa's mind was already racing ahead, thinking about the challenges and the opportunities that lay ahead.

Enisa's skin crawled. Victoria's intentions were far from altruistic.

As the reading concluded, Enisa felt trapped. Her father's legacy, Dawn's Industries, hung in the balance. She had one year to find a husband or lose everything.

Enisa stood, her knees trembling. She needed air.

"Excuse me," she murmured, fleeing the room.

In the garden, Enisa took deep breaths, trying to clear her head. Getting married when I don't even have a boyfriend? The thought sent shivers down her spine.

A figure approached. Sophia.

"Looks like you're in a pickle," Sophia sneered.

Enisa's anger flared. "This has nothing to do with you."

Sophia shrugged. "Mother will get what's hers. You're just a pawn."

Enisa's determination hardened. She wouldn't let Victoria or Sophia take over the family legacy

As Enisa walked back to the manor, she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Her father's will had left her with more questions than answers.

Why had he added such a condition?

What if she couldn't find a suitable husband?

Would Victoria really take control of DAWN Industries?
