Chapter 1 BETRAYAL IN THE DARK
Chapter 1:
I never imagined that a simple birthday invite with a colleague could change my life forever. At 21, I was full of dreams, ambition, and trust in the people around me. Working in a new office, I had made a few friends, one of whom was Rechard an IT guy in my office, well-spoken man who everyone seemed to like. Richard was one of those men that ask me out for a date, but as a young lady that was determined to get married to a man that has the fear of God and also I was determined to get married as a virgin, so I never gave him a listen ears to date him because I was not ready for marriage so I turned him down so many times. On a Friday Richard invited me for his birthday which he told me he has also invited most of our colleagues which I believed him because I never believe he could had a plan that could worsening my life so I agreed to attend the (so called birthday).
The next day was the Saturday of his birthday which I went with my girlfriend because of the fair of men. On getting to the venue which was his house I was surprised to meet no one including our colleagues he claimed he invited. I asked Richard where are the people you invited and he answered they are gone cos the party was 12 pm and I said but you told me 5pm then he said he was sorry. So I told him we are set to go and he pleaded we take some drink and and eat something before we start going.
Hmmmm he gave us drink in a cup and he told my friend to sit and relax and he ask me to come check some things and that was all I knew until after the rape then I woke up.
I woke up after 3 hours we got there and I got so teary after seeing the state I found myself being naked and reaped.
