"Until I met him, I believed I understood what love was. Louis, the mysterious billionaire with a golden heart and piercing gaze. I was enthralled with our frenzied passion, but I was unaware that it was illegal. My confidante and best friend, Dorina, had been keeping secrets of her own. Secrets that threatened to break my heart and ruin our friendship. I have to make the tough decision to follow my heart or risk losing everything when the truth comes to light. My life is about to take a significant change, but that's not the only thing at risk. 'You'll never be his,' is the terrible word she then receives. Will it be too late or will Dior discover the truth behind the evil message?
"I'm going to marry Louis one day," Dorina declared, her eyes gleaming decisively. Laughing, I rolled my eyes. "Dorina, you're just ten. Even riding a bike without training wheels is impossible.
The action caused Dorina's blond bunches to bounce, and she frowned. "The point is not that. The main idea is that Louis is the most attractive boy at school, and I plan to wed him. Feeling a little jealous, I laughed.
While I was still attempting to define myself, Dorina always seemed to know exactly what she wanted. I was thinking about what the future held for us as we strolled arm in arm home from school. Is it likely that Dorina will wed Louis? What about me? What might my future hold? I noticed that Dorina's father, Kreed Montagro, was waiting for us on the porch as we turned the corner onto our street.
He was tall and domineering, with a stern look and piercing ocean-blue eyes. But when he saw Dorina, his expression softened and he smiled, curling his lips, He said, "Hey, kiddo," he uttered, extending his arms to embrace. Running to him, Dorina threw her arms around his waist. It was "Daddy!" she cried. I felt jealous as I watched them embrace.
My family had never seemed as caring and encouraging as Dorina's. My parents were constantly occupied with their aristocratic responsibilities, but Dorina's father seemed to put her first. I heard Kreed Montagro's voice behind me, though, as I turned to leave. "Dior, wait." Curious, I spun around. "Yes, Mr. Montagro?"His voice was low and mysterious, but he said, "I feel like your life is going to change in ways you never could have predicted." I was curious and confused at the same time as he turned and walked away. after saying that, leaving me both intrigued and perplexed. How did he mean it?
And what would have happened to me? For a while, I remained there attempting to comprehend Kreed Montagro's words. That my life was going to change-what did he mean? And why did he appear so solemn? To get my mind straight, I shook my head. Most likely, I was overanalysing it.
Kreed Montagro was a billionaire, after all. He was constantly handling multimillion-dollar business and high-stakes negotiations. Perhaps he was just under stress. I was absorbed in my thoughts as I walked home .By the time I reached my house, my mother was standing at the doorway. Beautiful and elegant, she had neatly held curling brown hair and a warm smile. When I walked up to her, she said, "Hey, sweetheart," "How did your day go?" A little taken aback, I shrugged. "It was fine, I guess." Mom raised her eyebrows "Just that?" she asked again.Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I sighed. "I don't know," Mom said. "Simply put, I heard something strange from Dorina's father today". My mom's face descended into seriousness.
She questioned him, "What did he say?" I paused, feeling a little unsure. "He told me that my life was about to take a different turn in ways I never could have imagined." I hesitated, unsure of myself. "He said that my life was about to change in ways I never could have thought of and it scares me mom." As though her eyes had clouded over, my mother threw her head back. She said, "I see," in a quiet voice. It sparked my interest.
How could my mother have known? And why was she keeping things so private? "Mom, what's going on?" Getting a little annoyed, I asked. My mother, however, simply shook her head. As she put it, "It's nothing, sweetie," "Just forget about it." Don't think about it? How could I overlook it? Kreed Montagro's words had unnerved me, and now my mother was being vague and mysterious.
Icould feel strongly that something was going on, and something was just not right .I was ever ready to find out what it was. I tried to appear indifferent by nodding, but my mind was racing. And what was happening? Furthermore, why was my mother acting so evasively? For now, I'll just put it down and go to my room. I kept getting the uneasy sensation as I made my way upstairs.
I threw myself onto my bed and gazed up at the ceiling. For what reason had Kreed Montagro predicted that my life would soon change? What was my mother aware of but decided not to inform me?
My phone started ringing just when I was about to go to sleep. Dorina had sent the text. "Come on, girl! "What is it?" she enquired. I felt a little better and grinned. Dorina might be able to assist me understand what was happening. "Not much," I put back. "Just got back from walking home with your dad." Dorina answered right away. "Ah, I see. What was it he said? I was hesitant to divulge too much. However, I felt more at ease because of Dorina's tone. "He said something weird," I freely acknowledged. "According to him, things I never could have predicted were about to change in my life.
A moment passed before Dorina answered. "That does sound weird," she concurred. However, Dior, don't worry. It must be nothing. I nodded, though she couldn't see me. Maybe Dorina was correct.
Perhaps Kreed Montagro was being overly dramatic. Although I dozed off, I couldn't shake off the plaguing feeling that something was going to happen badly and I dreaded it . A significant thing.
Nor did I know what it was. I made an effort the following day to forget what Kreed Montagro had said." Apart from attending classes and spending time with Dorina, I also finished some of my assignments. But as the day was coming to an end, I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right. In a sense, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. I saw an odd vehicle following me on my way home while coming from school. It appeared to be keeping up with me; it was a sleek black automobile with tinted windows.
Feeling uneasy, I accelerated my pace. Who was in the vehicle? What made them follow me? The automobile vanished as I turned the corner onto my streetI felt I must have been paranoid and let out a sigh of relief.
But when I approached my house, I saw a man waiting for me on the doorstep. The woman had a smile that was recognisable and her hair was long and curly brown. She said, "Dior," as I walked up to her. "We need to talk." A feeling of bewilderment washed over me. This woman was who? What was the topic of her conversation with me? I was ready to ask her who she was when she suddenly revealed her identity. "Dior, I'm your mother's sister," she introduced herself. "And I've been sent to tell you the truth about your family."
As I looked at her, my head whirled. Which truth? What was her meaning? However, she looked back at me after looking over her shoulder before I could ask her any questions. "We can't talk here," she declared. "Follow me." Then she turned around, quickened down the stairs, and disappeared into darkness. I wasn't sure what to do for a moment. . I wasn't momentarily sure of what to do. However, my insatiable curiosity overcame me. Following her into the darkness, I started off after her. At that point, everything turned dark.
