Mirabel, a world-class thief, is finally caught and placed behind bars for her notorious atrocities in 19 countries. Her probabilities of escaping are cut to zero until she's given a second chance to live an ordinary life by a famous actress Annabel on the proposal of becoming the actress for some months. What happens when she finds out that she has a more personal relationship with Mirabel than the contract proposal? Annabel's fiancé is the billionaire who put her in jail, and her facade is just a plot of destruction.

Chapter 1 Beginning

-MIRABEL-

Was this it? The terrorist unable to be caught by 19 different countries after 467 raids, 569 dangerous but successful operations, 140 billionaires had been crushed and crumbled before me, but here I was being handed over to the cops by the one billionaire that would get me my promotion in the House of Hades. Such bullshit.

"Put her behind bars; don't let her out." Raymond, the billionaire CEO of Clutches Corporation, said in a harsh tone. His voice rummaged in my head as the officers gripped my arm, smiles on their faces.

Who wouldn't be happy to catch a master thief such as myself? I would be happy too.

As they bundled me into the van, I had just one thought in my mind. "How will I get back at him for ruining my promotion in the House of Hades and sending me to jail?"

... "Hey sweetheart." I murmured, placing a kiss on Raymond's cheeks. He grunted, adjusting into his chair. I could see the curious look on his face, his eyes darting from the meal before him.

"When did you become so romantic? I thought you hated romance." He stared at the food, motioning back to see my grin. I could tell he was curious and also insecure about this whole thing, but it didn't matter; he was in my hands now.

"Sit down; let's eat together." He let out a grin, his spoon in the plate as he cut out a perfect triangle from the pie. "Open up."

I found it pleasing knowing he felt insecure with me. This was the perfect way to have my revenge on him: make his mental health crumble along with his so-called company.

I leaned in, taking the pie and nibbling it down my throat. He let out a pleasing smile as he ate his way through, not caring if I touched mine. "Open up."

His eyebrows were raised, his tongue midway between his lips. He couldn't retract his tongue, so he had to take the spoon. It wouldn't be proper for him to reject me; after all, I am his fiancée.

"You know what, eat up. This is quite enough to fill me up." his lips curled into a smile. I glared at him, my puppy eyes working their way into his view of vision. He had to take the spoon.

"You know what? I'll be heading upstairs now," he said as he rose from the chair, dropping the cutlery in his hand. I said nothing, watching him leave while he tried to figure out if this was a dream or a reality.

It had barely been two weeks since I was released from prison for this mission. I had been skeptical when his fiancée, Annabel Lane, Canada's superstar actress, model, and brand operas, had asked me to stand in for her since she wanted to leave the country without letting anyone know.

Being a perfect lookalike, she had offered me freedom and a second chance to live outside the four walls of the courtyard as long as I could hold up her position in the acting industry and save her lovely engagement with her fiancé, Raymond. Hiding behind a mask was my specialty, but I never used it as a service; it was a tiebreaker for me.

I promised myself to end Raymond for putting me in jail, and she had offered me the perfect opportunity. I had accepted the offer despite the bloody consequences of being locked up or having to be killed the next time, just to cause him pain.

Just when I thought it had all gone in my favor, it turns out Annabel is his fiancée, and they had put a ring to it. This meant I couldn't touch him physically or harm him, but I definitely could traumatize him, make him feel unwanted as a man, and make him flock out while still saving the relationship. Delusional but could work with the right procedures.

"Can I sleep with you tonight?" I stared into his eyes, his gaze lazy as he took off the duvet and brought me closer to himself.

"It's pretty late, and I have been having nightmares. I don't think I can return home." He wiped his eyes with his elbows before carrying me onto the bed like a little child. His touch sent jolts of electricity into my spine, but I resisted; I wasn't here for fun; I was here for revenge.

"Can I make use of your pillow?" I asked.

He stared at me, fury in his eyes. He grunted, placing his pillow directly beneath his head before resting. I tapped him, but he shrugged me off, his hands covering his face once more.

"Can I?" I whimpered.

He tilted his head towards me, his eyes bloodshot. He hadn't gotten a proper sleep in days because I kept disturbing his sleep in the night while I rested during the day. He was frustrated, his muscles tense. I needed to be hit, needed a blow that could drown his reputation as a woman beater, and I was going to get it.

"You know what? Get out of my room," he spat, his hands clenched into fists. I didn't move, staggering to the wall where my hidden camera could get all the live action. He was ruthless, fearless, and cruel enough to smack a lady; he had done it when he caught me stealing from his safe; he could do it once again.

"I want your pillow." I said in a low voice, whimpers emerging from within. He tilted his head, holding back his fists that called for the perfect aim.

"Get out!" he yelled. His chest contracting and relaxing as he fumed, he pointed towards the door, his veins strained enough to be seen on the surface of his skin. He held up the scariest look, but that didn't make me scared; I was only thrilled to see how he would react to my next attack.

"Why are you yelling at me?" I asked, forcing tears to gather in my eyes.

His breathing became heavy, his fist in motion towards me. This was it, the moment I caught him on camera and had his reputation destroyed.
