"You are actually seeing a man behind my back? How dare you" he raised his hand to hit me and I will filled with this unknown confidence and held his hand. Paris has always been an housewife despite her young age behind controlled all her life but she was still happy to survive but her life takes a drastic turn when she meets Lucian, her long time lover and she finally figures out the truth behind the bondage they put her in. What will happen when she gets into an affair with him? What will happen when she finally takes a stand against her family and husband the richest people in town? Will she discover Lucian's true identity?
The door flew open and I could smell the richness in the air, the dresses and suits were top grade one could easily tell they were worth a fortune but as we stepped in the crowd fell into silence as they watched us walk with hawk eyes.
They had their eyes on me like how a mother watched her child but was it really me? Or glamorous dress I wore that shone into their eyes.
'That dress costs over 50000 dollars that's limited edition clothing' I heard their whispers to themselves even as billionaire's themselves they couldn't refrain from gossip and they were bad at it!
The crowd remained wowed as I walked hand in hand Ethan into the party eyes staring at us like to eat our glory alive honestly this was the life!
Everyone envied you, your husband was rich and generous with his money on you, even you own family wasn't lacking behind. What else could anyone ask for? Right? Wrong
These billionaires were wolves in sheep's clothing. I also used to envy the glamorous lifestyle I saw on the magazine, the internet and shows but never had I ever imagined the price that came with it.
"Ethan, you are finally here. The business partners have been waiting a whole while but they wouldn't dare leave. Let's go" Rohan, one of his friends tugged at his arm totally ignoring my presence.
Countless people around me envied and respected me all because of him but all his friends didn't even give me an ounce of respect because they knew very clearly that he didn't care not even a little bit about me.
I pulled my hand off his when I saw Rohan's hard glare on it they found me utterly disgusting none of them felt like I deserved this opportunity I got and I also wished I didn't at least then he would free me... free me from the abyss of hell.
I smiled at him patting his arm, we had to look like the perfect couple to the outsiders no one could ever find out the den we his inside. "You can go, I will wait for you"
I had a beaming smile on my face but in my heart all I had for this man who stood in front of me was hate and contempt. He tugged my hair behind my ears as he smiled "You know the drill..."
The drill... The drill was he didn't want to see me with any man not even the slightest interaction or my life would be at its ends. Jealous and Possessive that nice who wouldn't want their man to fawn all over them but this wasn't fawning this man didn't even have the slightest feeling of love for me.
I jerked out of my thoughts when my arm was tugged and Avery came in too view "He is so nice...I never thought I would see in this dress that is yet to be public"
Her eyes were escentric as she talked to me although she said she wouldn't I knew she would never waste any slight opportunity to grab him away and maybe just maybe if she did I would have peace.
I looked at her with confusion, she knew my predicament and all she could talk about was a dress "Don't look at me like that..."
She had a sharp gaze in her eyes like giving me a warning and she held on to my arm as she stared at him dreamily "Ethan is one in a million. He is everyone's dream. What you are facing is just your paranoid."
I scoffed at her looking away I didn't want to curse her at this moment because she was the only one I had though she was really unsupportive of me whenever I said anything bad about Ethan but she was still a very good friend.
"Every one's dream? More like everyone's nightmare." I whispered in a low voice just loud enough for her to hear but she ignored me and rather focused on staring at him.
"If only I had the same story as you two" she smiled trailing off. Honestly our lives started off as a fairytale. We were both forced into marriage and also drank our hearts out at a bar. We had a one night stand and he took me but for some reason he didn't seem to remember all that.
All he held for me after we got married was hate disgust and contempt. He was the devil himself but guess what he also had someone he liked. When Avery first heard of our story she told me to tell him that he took me but I gave up immediately I knew he had a lover and this lover was engraved in his heart.
"Come on stop staring I reserved a seat for you let's go" she pulled me away without asking for my consent before she dragged to the table.
"Mrs. Bradley I must say you look absolutely stunning" a lady smiled at me even before I sat and I smiled back.
Oh how I loved to ask if I looked stunning or the dress was but I knew I would come off as proud and I could never embrass my family.
"Thank you, You don't look quite bad yourself" I grabbed my self a seat and it was like I sat with daggers on my body. They had sharp eyes filled with jealousy as they stared at me. Oh how obvious it was that the wished for my life. Funny of all over half of them seated were married.
"I am so envious of you...." A lady trailed off as she stared on dreamily. Envious? It was a word I heard every time but would the truly he if they knew it all.
"Ethan's eyes hasn't shifted away from this place since the moment you walked in" her words made me look back and he had his eyes dictated on me or was it to see if I dared to disobey him.
"Of course not... it's probably something else" I smiled at them and they smiled back with elegantly shinning fake smiles.
"Is that a LV necklace like the first one ever made and it even has your name engraved." Another lady from the table said this one married if could rate she was the most greedy out of all of them.
"Oh... it's nothing, he is just really good friends with them" my humbleness annoyed them to the core. I acted like all this stuff were miniature like they costed a dollar off the market
"Can you just stop already? It is glaring that you are acting!" Mrs. Walsh spoke up,for a married woman she was pretty audacious but she had hated me for a long time.
She wasn't apart of these people that knew Ethan after we got married but rather they were child hood sweathearts but I knew that she wasn't his lover.
"Excuse me?" I paused as I got up to my feet, o could receive disrespect from him and my family but never an outsider.
"Oh please don't give me that you are just a whore and a shrew who got lucky because of your family don't come here acting like you actually matter" she also got up to her feet and how I wanted to laugh.
The same man she was fighting for was ready the devil's own incarnation. No he was the devil himself! "You know marriages are arranged by family. What has that got to do with me?" I raised my hands in the hair questioning her flare
"If I really didn't matter you wouldn't have gotten so defensive" I said and I smiled as I saw her back off but she heard fear in her eyes there was no how she would fear me.
I was about to look back when I felt his grip on my hand but no I knew that grip he wasn't here to defend me but rather he was here to punish me, what exactly happened? Was he angry that I was flaunting the marriage?
