At the age of eighteen, a bullying incident at school completely changed Shi Man's fate. Seven years later, at a wedding, with a boy by her side, Shi Man meticulously crafted a plan for revenge, bringing her enemies to justice. After seven long years, she finally put a period to her tumultuous eighteen. It may not be perfect, and there may be regrets. But life, filled with imperfections, remains unique and unchangeable, and we can only face it with courage. Even if it is faint, we must still shine in the darkness of the night.

Chapter 1 The Wedding

The summer after the college entrance exams, on the rooftop where Frederick Miller and I often went, I lost something I cherished deeply.

From that moment on, my life was devoid of stars.

Seven years later.

As I walked into the wedding venue, arm in arm with Ralph Wheeler, we instantly became the center of attention.

Even the bride and groom on stage were visibly shocked.

Ralph, unfazed, led me to his parents seated in the place of honor and introduced me solemnly, "Dad, Mom, this is Rosie Dobson, my girlfriend."

Ralph's father, Nelson Wheeler, remained stern as he snorted dismissively and looked away.

Ralph's mother, Evelyn Wheeler, shot me a fierce glare before turning her head in anger.

They seemed like childhood sweethearts. And their love was pure.

I smiled silently.

Some words sound grand, but only those who know the truth understand- they were all lies.

Hearing it made my stomach turn.

I turned to Ralph, giving him a provocative smile.

He looked slightly flustered, gripping my fingertips under the table and whispering a warning, "Behave yourself. Don't cause a scene."

Perhaps my "bluff and confession" last night had an effect; his cheeks were flushed, showing a hint of emotion.

Perfect.

He had developed feelings for me.

It was the first step in my plan for revenge.

The hurt I suffered seven years ago, I intend to return in full.

No one present would escape.
