Las Vegas, Nevada
Ana sat in the corner of the hotel room, surrounded by a gloomy and silent atmosphere. It's been almost a week since the death of Alan, her lover who was killed in a car accident. Ana decided to go to Las Vegas, trying to cheer herself up but Ana felt as if the world around her had stopped moving even though she had gone far. The darkness of the room enveloped Ana, in line with the darkness that enveloped her heart.
Even though Ana had gone far from where she came from to forget what happened that night, all of Alan's images were still echoing in her brain. He was lost in thought with a blank stare, as if expecting Alan to reappear at the bedroom door with the usual smile on his face. However, nothing came, only silence and pain continued to haunt.
Alan's death completely devastated Ana. This tragic incident made him feel as if he was being punished by fate. A deep feeling of guilt enveloped him, because the accident happened after Ana asked Alan to pick him up from work. He just wanted to give Alan a surprise on his birthday, which coincided with the first snowfall this year. Ana imagined that night would be a beautiful moment, full of love and warmth, but everything turned into a disaster.
Alan was unable to keep his promise due to an accident triggered by slippery road conditions. This small, unexpected mistake had cost the life of the person he loved most.
Ana sat with an empty glass in her hand, staring out the window as if searching for answers in the silence of the night. In her loneliness and sadness, Ana felt trapped in deep regret and guilt, as if she was judging herself for Alan's death, and felt unworthy of moving forward.
Ana put the empty glass on her bedside table, her eyes fell on the wall clock which showed ten o'clock in the evening. With a deep breath, Ana tried to gather the courage to move forward from the sadness that was crushing her. Ana stood by the window, synchronizing her heart and mind for a moment.
Ana changed her casual clothes into simple long clothes, choosing comfortable and warm clothes to leave the house. Ana felt the urge to get fresh air and escape from the sadness that had shackled her for so long.
When Ana stepped outside, the cold night greeted her, but she felt that the air tonight brought new hope. His steps were light but determined, and he followed the path that took him away from the hustle and bustle of the city, towards the beach.
Arriving at the beach, Ana sat on the edge of the soft sand, feeling the small grains under her back. The ocean waves hitting the shore produce a soothing roar, as if trying to provide calm in his emotional chaos. The evening breeze gently caressed his face, giving him a refreshing cool feeling.
Ana looked far towards the horizon, watching the waves incessantly hit the shore with a calming rhythm. The sound of the waves and the night breeze blend together in harmony, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere.
Until the sound of a car distracted Ana, she saw a Buggati car parked not far from her.
Under the soft moonlight, the masculine man in a black tuxedo without a tie got off the luxury car parked by the beach. His face looked sad, full of an empty and tired expression. With a bottle of champagne in his hand, he walked with slow, heavy steps towards Ana.
The man sat beside Ana, the distance was close but it felt full of silence. He stared at the ocean waves ebbing and flowing, as if trying to find meaning in the ever-repeating rhythm of nature. The atmosphere tonight was very calm, with only the sound of waves and wind filling the silence around them.
"Does my presence bother you?" the man asked, his voice soft but filled with pain. Ana was silent, reluctant to answer or look away. The man smiled discordantly, a smile that showed how much his heart hurt. "Am I really that sad? Everyone seems to reject my presence, everyone seems to betray me," he muttered, revealing his deep heart and full of pain.
Ana just watched from the side, listening without saying a word. The man opened the bottle of champagne and took a sip straight from the bottle with a movement full of disconnection, as if seeking solace in every sip of alcohol.
Their eyes met as he turned, and there was a silence that combined the pain of both of them. The man handed the champagne bottle towards Ana, without saying a word. Ana, without saying anything, immediately took the bottle and drank quite a lot. The sharp and cold taste immediately flowed down his throat, making him cough.
The man smiled sweetly, rubbing Ana's back gently.
"What's your name?" Ana asked after a long silence.
"Alessio Robyn Scott!" said Alessio introducing himself to which Ana nodded.
"You?" Alessio asked back. Ana placed her bottle between them.
"Sarah!" Ana deliberately faked her name. I don't know, the name spontaneously crossed his mind.
Alessio nodded slowly and looked back at the front, "Sorry to disturb your peace." Ana smiled faintly.
"I'm the same as you," Alessio immediately turned to look at Ana with her hair moving in the wind.
Ana turned to look at Alessio, "My lover died because of me. Don't I look like a murderer?" Alessio remained silent, observing Ana's beautiful face.
Alessio was still looking closely at Ana's face from the side and then said, "No. I believe you are not a murderer." Ana turned to look at Alessio with racing thoughts.
There was silence for a few moments, until Ana immediately pulled Alessio's tuxedo, kissing his sexy lips briefly.
Alession opened his eyes when Ana ended the brief kiss. Ana immediately pulled herself away from Alessio.
"Sorry, I think I'm a little drunk, I'll go home first," said Ana, who immediately got up, followed immediately by Alessio.
"Then come home with me, you have to finish what you started," said Alessio as he pulled Ana's hand to his car.
