Chapter 1 A Night to Remember, A Morning to Unravel
"You're beautiful". He said as he thrust deep into me, letting out a loud groan. My fingernails were buried in his chest. I couldn't breathe for a second. My moan grew louder across the cold room as I tried to move at his pace. Minutes by minutes, the pleased intensified. I couldn't catch my breath, he noticed. But he didn't care, he wanted to satisfy me to the fullest which I admired. It was my first time and he knew that. However, I wasn't acting like it was my first.
"You did well, good girl". He complimented.
Funny how he calls me a girl when I'm 25 years old. But anyway, I didn't care and neither did he. I looked across the bed and found my underwear. I grabbed it and walked gently to the bathroom as I turned on the shower. I paused at the realization of what just happened. I didn't know this man whom I had just enjoyed myself with. How could I be so stupid?
I shivered at the feeling of the warm water on my body. I hurriedly ran my hands around my body, rinsing any dirt. I grabbed the soft fluffy towel that was hung beside the door, tied it on to cover my body and rushed out to meet him.
"What the actual....". I stopped as the room was empty. My eyes constantly roamed the room to be sure of what happened.
"Maybe he went to get coffee, he'll be back". I assured myself as I didn't want to admit to the fact that he might have just ditched me. I shivered again, this time it was due to the coldness of the room. I picked up the air conditioner remote control and increased the temperature.
I sat on the bed and looked at the clock. It was now 7:29 pm.
Minutes later, I passed out on the bed with my phone in my hand.
The office was looking much different than I knew it to be. The place had now been established full-time. My eyes wandered in the beauty of both the office and the staff.
"Hey ma'am... are you Higgins Lotti?". The question of the young staff drew me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, I am".
"You're up next for the interview". She said lastly as she turned around and left the arena.
I was now nervous. My mind has been ready for this for days but I guess my heart wasn't ready. My legs trembled as they carried my weight. I walked to the door where the interview was being held, I looked through the glass door and watched the faces of the interviewers. They looked strict. Very strict.
"I can't do this... No! What was I thinking coming here in the first place?"... I said in a way no one else heard it but me. I walked hurriedly to the main entrance. "What is wrong with me... Ahhh!". I screamed as I hit the tall man who happened to walk into the building.
"I'm so sorry... I...". I paused. My eyes recognised the face of the man who stood in front of me. "I know you".
"No, you don't". He spoke abruptly and turned to take his leave. I grabbed his arms quickly.
"You ditched me the other night. Why? Did I not please you right?".
"I said I don't know you". He turned and left my presence finally.
"MISS HIGGINS?". A young man called out as he partially exited the interview room.
I summoned the courage and walked up to him. "I want to know if that young man heading to the elevator works here". I asked without minding the fact that he was a supposed interviewer.
"Well, that young man happens to be the CEO of this company". I gasped in surprise. My hand unexpectedly landed on my mouth. "Are you still having this interview or should I cancel your name from the list?".
"I'll have it. As long as I'll work in this company where that mannerless CEO works".
"Whatever. Come this way". He ushered me into the room and offered me a chair where I sat as he asked me a few questions which I answered correctly.
In less than an hour, I was home. I sat on the couch in my room as I wondered about what happened today. I should be embarrassed of myself since he kept denying the fact that he didn't know me but instead, I was feeling very happy about it. He failed to acknowledge me, in the same way I'd ruin his life during my stay in his company. I'll make him resign from his position; he'll get tired of me. I laughed mysteriously at the plan.
"Bringggg... Bringggg". A call came in which broke my moment. I sat up as my mind recognized the male voice of the person on the other end. "It's Sir Hudson speaking. Congratulations Miss Higgins. You have been offered the job position to join to cleaning team. Grade B Productions is happy to have you on board". The call ended.
"THE CLEANING TEAM???". I screamed in surprise.
