Chapter 1 Jazzie Homer Norwood

Jazzie had been through so much in her life but she never expected to be kicked out of her father's house. Sitting on the bed in her hotel room in disbelief. Her mind wondering to her mother Mary Homer and her father Jewel Norwood. Founders of Norwood and Homer construction they had been married for 11 years. Jazzie was only 9 when her mother was killed saving a little boy and his dog from getting hit by a drunk driver. For 13 years Jewel made sure she had everything she needed and wanted. Jewels had, had a couple of girlfriends over the years but nothing too serious.

But that all changed when she was twenty-two years old. When he meet Donna Andrews and her daughter Dajia. From the moment Jazzie and Dajia meet they were thick as thieves and Donna hated every moment of it. When Jewel and Donna got married Jazzie wasn't allowed to be in the wedding. She was barely in the wedding pictures. Throughout the years Donna would try to find ways to get Jewels to throw Jazzie out. Jewels loved the fact that his daughter wanted her own money and didn't like sitting around doing nothing like Dajia. Jazzie had been a phlebotomist at Med star hospital for the past 6 years and she loved it. She had been having this weird feeling all day at work when her phone kept vibrating in the pocket of her scrubs. She pulled it out seeing Donna's name on the screen. With a heavy sigh she answered the phone. In a nonchalant tone Donna let her know that her father had died. Rushing to the locker room she called her grandmother Alex hoping Donna was wrong. But hearing her grandmother cry on the phone was enough confirmation. Asking where his body was. Alex asked in a confused tone"Donna didn't tell you they rushed your dad up there to the hospital" rushing to the elevator Jazzie rode the elevator down to the main floor and asked one of her coworkers what room was Jewels Norwood in. She looked at her with a painful expression and told her he had been sent to the morgue. Walking back to the elevator she Felt the air get colder the lower she went. When the doors opened the first person she saw was her best friend Sarah. She was the head autopsy technician and Jazzie knew she would let her know how her father had passed. But for some reason once she stepped off the elevator she couldn't move. Sarah ran to her grabbing her hand telling her "we gotta hurry she's having your father transferred to a funeral home right now" Jazzie was confused as hell because if her father just died why was she trying to get him in the ground so fast. She stopped walking and turned to Sarah and asked "how can she do this if he just died not even 45 minutes ago". Sarah looked at Jazzie like she was crazy "what are you talking about your father passed 7 hours ago". She said as they wheeled her father out and Sarah stopped them so Jazzie could see her father. Sarah was heartbroken for her best friend. Mr.J as Sarah called him was like a dad to her when her father went to jail for fraud. She didn't wanna look at his body without her best friend. She had been waiting for Jazzie to come down most of the day. But when she saw the paperwork for him to be transferred to a funeral home. She was on her way to get her best friend when she stepped off the elevator. Pulling the zipper on the body bag down Jazzie cried at how peaceful he looked.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
