Katherine loved to have fun. She always believed the night was still young until she had to deal with the reality of becoming a mother at an early age. Being a mother wasn't the problem, it was who the father was that bothered her. She couldn't believe she had gotten pregnant for the most brutal bachelor on earth. Worse, she knew he would never accept the baby, and she needed him to.

Chapter 1 The Naughty Cat

Katherine's POV

"Let's go," I beamed at the two ladies with me, watching with impatience as they walked like old women. "We will be late."

Lisa snorted. "Late? We are going to a club not a meeting. There is nothing like being late."

I rolled my eyes. There was no way to get to these women. "There is something like being late. Come on now. You are slowing me down." I rocked on my feet to show them that I was anticipating dancing at the club already.

"We are tired." Angela groaned. "Aren't you tired? It was a hectic day."

"I'm tired as well and that is why I'm going to the club." I explained. "To dance away the fatigue."

"I would rather sleep the fatigue away." Lisa groaned.

"You are both boring. We promised to go to the club today." I reminded them.

"Because we didn't know we were going to have hell at work today." Angela noted.

I scoffed. "We always have hell at work. Hell comes with the job, you know that."

Angela shook her head and turned to Lisa. "I wonder where she gets her energy from."

"I know," Lisa chuckled. "She is weird, right?"

"I'm still here, guys."

"You were meant to hear." They laughed at me.

I ignored them both and continued walking. I smiled as I got to the entrance of the club, already nodding my head to the beats coming out from the building.

The bouncers buzzed me in and I walked in, syncing immediately with the rhythm. I turned to see Lisa and Angela walk in and smiled at them.

"Glad you two finally made it." I grinned at them.

"Don't be ridiculous." They snorted at me and moved away.

"Where are you going?" I shouted at them over the loud music.

"Going to the bar to get ourselves cold drinks." They shouted back.

"I'm going to the dance floor." I told them.

"Good luck to you." Angela said, slipped her hand into Lisa's elbow and they both walked away.

After few minutes of rocking on my feet, bobbing my head and twisting to the music, I decided to join my friends at the bar.

"How are you, old ladies?" I teased as I hopped on the stool beside them.

"We are good, wild cat." Lisa grinned.

"Are you feeling up for a dance now?" I asked them.

"No, I think we will stay here and watch the others dance." Angela said.

I clicked my tongue against the roof of my mouth. "Boring girls."

"No. Tired career ladies."

"I guess I will have to stay here with you." I said, settling well on the stool.

"You should." Lisa smiled at me. "It is good for your health."

I turned to the bartender. "I will have what they are having."

Seconds later, a man walked to the bar and sat two stools away from us. I glanced to know who the newest addition was and blushed as I stared at him.

He was breathtaking.

He turned and caught me staring. "Is there a problem?" he asked, sounding gruff and annoyed.

I blushed, hating that I had been caught. "I think you are cute." I said.

"Cute is for kids." He scowled and looked away.

"Katherine!" Lisa and Angela gasped. "What are you doing?"

I shrugged. "Was I supposed to feel embarrassed for staring at a gorgeous guy? Don't worry. That was me handling a situation in a cool way."

Angela shook her head. "She is lost. You shouldn't have flirted with him at all."

"You should stop acting like my big sister, Angela." I warned her. "We are here to have fun, remember?"

"That-," she said, pointing at the man. "-is not the kind of fun you want to mess with."

"Do you know him?" I asked. "Is he also in our industry?"

Lisa snorted and rolled her eyes. "It's more amazing that you don't know who he is. He is not in the fashion industry but deals with chemicals."

"So?" I shrugged my shoulders.

Angela sighed. "You should read more newspapers and blogs than fashion magazines, girl."

I rolled my eyes. I worked as a PR manager in a demanding fashion industry, magazines were definitely what I should read more.

"Just tell me who he is and get this drama over with." I sighed.

"He is bad news. Don't get involved with him." Lisa said.

"He is gorgeous." I defended him. "How can that be bad news?"

"He is a gorgeous asshole, girl." Angela insisted.

Lisa yawned. "I think I'm more tired than I am. I should call it a night." She stood up.

Angela stood up with her. "I will go with you. Are you coming, Kate?"

I shook my head. "At this time? The night is still young."

Angela nodded. "I thought as much. Don't stay out too late though."

"I won't." I promised and walked them to the door.

I went to the dance floor again instead of going back to sit alone at the bar. After few minutes of dancing, I felt my throat parched and moved to the bar.

"A drink, please." I said to the bartender as I settled on a stool.

"Do you dance wildly like that always or it's because you think I'm cute and thought I might be watching?"

I turned to the 'gorgeous bad news' and stared. He was talking to me.

"My dancing had nothing to do with you. Don't feel arrogant." I said and took a sip of my drink, feeling the cool drink rushing down and soothing my throat.

He laughed. "I'm always arrogant."

I was starting to think the girls were right about him but his voice and laugh did some strange stuff to my belly.

"Good for you." I replied.

"I take it you dance wildly always." He continued.

"Should I take it that you are chatty now?"

His eyes arched as if sensing the challenge in my words and accepting them.

"You called me cute. I'm not. I'm more than that."

"I can see that." I grinned.

He was surprisingly easy to talk to and I was starting to enjoy the teasing.

"Do you dance wildly only on the dance floor?" he suddenly asked, holding my gaze.

I almost spat the drink in my mouth out. "What?" I knew what he meant though.

He smiled, a slow smile that morphed his gorgeous hard features into something more beautiful and enchanting. I wondered how possible that was.

"I am curious to know what other wild moves you have."

"Don't ask if you don't want to know." I smiled.

"Who says I don't? Should we check those moves out now?" he asked, his gaze on my lips and trailing down my body.

I shivered with heat. He is bad news and not the type you want to mess with. The words rang in my head but I ignored them and smiled at him.

"Let's go." I agreed.

It wasn't my first time having a one-night stand with a stranger and I didn't understand why the girls were making a big deal of this.

Moreover, what was the point of being wild and enjoying your youth if you were afraid of testing your limits?
