Beyond the Threshold follows the transformative journey of a young woman who, after a life-changing event, is thrust into an unfamiliar world where the boundaries of reality and myth blur. As she faces her greatest fears, discovers hidden strengths, and forms unexpected alliances, she must confront her inner darkness and embrace her true potential. This novel blends adventure, self-discovery, and the magic of transformation, exploring themes of resilience, courage, and the power of stepping beyond what is known into the unknown. Targeted toward a female audience, it weaves a tale of empowerment and growth, set against a backdrop of mystical landscapes and ancient challenges.

Chapter 1 The Book of Fates

Evelyn awoke with a gasp, her lungs burning as if she had surfaced from deep water. But she wasn't drowning. She wasn't even in the bookstore anymore.

The world around her was wrong-too vivid, too alive. The sky above was split between twilight and dawn, neither fully one nor the other. Strange, towering ruins loomed in the distance, their jagged edges glowing with eerie blue runes.

She pushed herself up, her fingers sinking into soft grass that shimmered under her touch. Panic coiled in her chest.

Asher's lips quirked. "Your definition of 'real' is about to change."

The wind shifted, carrying whispers-not words, but something ancient, something alive. And deep in her soul, something awakened.

Then, from the distance, a low growl rumbled through the air.

Asher tensed. "We need to move."

Before she could demand answers, a shadow moved-no, lunged-from the ruins. A creature unlike anything she had ever seen leaped toward her.

Evelyn had time for one thought before the world exploded into chaos-

This was only the beginning.
