When Tunde, a struggling graphic designer, collides with Nneoma, a beautiful and charming young woman, in a bustling Lagos market, their lives are forever changed. As they spend the day together, they discover unexpected connections, shared passions, and a romance that blossoms in the most unexpected way.

Chapter 1 The Unexpected Encounter

The sun was shining brightly on the bustling streets of Lagos, casting a warm glow over the crowded sidewalks. The air was alive with the sounds of car horns, chatter, and the wail of sirens in the distance. Amidst the chaos, I stood out, lost in my own little world. My name is Tunde, and I was a 25-year-old graphic designer, struggling to make a name for myself in the competitive world of advertising. My day had started on a sour note, with a missed deadline and a stern warning from my boss. Feeling defeated, I had decided to take a walk to clear my head.

As I strolled through the crowded market, my eyes wandered over the vibrant stalls, taking in the colorful array of fruits, vegetables, and textiles. Suddenly, I collided with a young woman, sending her bags flying in all directions. "Oh no, I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, as I rushed to help her gather her belongings. She looked up at me, her bright brown eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's okay, I'm fine," she said, her voice husky and confident. As we both bent down to pick up her bags, our hands touched, sending a jolt of electricity through my body. I felt a sudden rush of attraction, which I quickly pushed aside, attributing it to mere embarrassment. Once we had gathered all her belongings, I stood up, brushing off my clothes. "Again, I'm really sorry about that," I said, feeling a bit awkward. She smiled, her full lips curving upwards. "Like I said, it's okay. I'm Nneoma, by the way." "I'm Tunde," I replied, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. As we parted ways, I couldn't help but steal a glance at Nneoma, wondering if I would ever see her again. Little did I know, our chance encounter was only the beginning of an unforgettable adventure.

"You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
