I've been crushing on Feng Hong for three months, and everyone thinks I like him. Pfft... Who wants to be his girlfriend? I want to be his sister-in-law!

Chapter 1

I spent three months playing the devoted admirer to Jarrod Sullivan, and everyone thought I had a crush on him.

But the truth was... I didn't want to be his girlfriend and I wanted to be his sister-in-law!

I fell head over heels for Colin Sullivan at first sight, because he was handsome, wealthy, great shape, and with no girlfriend, no ex, and no scandals. He was the perfect bachelor.

But in just a fleeting glance, Colin disappeared into the crowd.

After some digging, I discovered that Jarrod, his younger brother, was actually my classmate.

So, with the idea of taking the long way around to achieve my goal, I played the devoted admirer to Jarrod for three months.

Until one day, Colin asked me to bring him a late-night snack.

When I opened the door, there was Colin, wearing nothing but a towel, his eight-pack abs on full display.

I instantly tossed the late-night snack aside and jumped straight at Colin.

Naturally, I didn't succeed, but I did manage to get his Whatsapp.

When I got home, I furiously typed away, describing Colin's flawless looks to my best friend.

"How do I ask him out?" I wondered.

"What does he like? It's best to tailor your approach," my friend advised.

Her words made sense, so I checked Colin's social media, filled with classic business posts, only company promotions and business collaborations.

Our brief chats were all very formal, too.

No wonder I was drawn to him. He was impressive and aloof, well, this would be easy. It was time to get down to business!

On the first day, I invited him to a fancy restaurant, but he said the service was too slow.

The second day, I invited him to play golf, but he said he was tired of playing with clients.

The third day, I invited him to the movies, but he said the movie quality was too poor.

I was speechless, and I thought, was he doing this on purpose?

Frustrated, I sent him a message. I said, "How about we go to a hot spring?" but I regretted it immediately.

After all, from what I knew about him, Colin seemed like the kind of celibate CEO that only read about in novels, so if I scared him off, it would all be for nothing.

Just as I was about to retract the message, he replied, "Send me the time and place."

I was shocked, what happened to the celibate CEO? and turned out, he was a closet flirt!

But at least I got him to agree.

Though I was definitely attracted to his body, I was determined not to let him have his way easily.

To make a "memorable impression", I arrived at the hot spring hotel ahead of time.

After getting ready, I waited for him to arrive, but to my surprise, I ran into Jarrod.

Jarrod wearing a bathrobe with the collar wide open, revealed his unimpressive physique.

I had no time for him and tried to avoid him, but Jarrod noticed me.

"I was wondering why I hadn't seen you lately. Thought you finally calmed down. Turns out you're stalking me now. Here to spy on me at the hot spring?" he sneered.

At this, his rowdy friends immediately burst into laughter.

"Haha, this admirer really has no limits!" someone said.

"Hey, beautiful lady, want to join us for a bath? You can observe Mr. Sullivan's physique up close," another said.

Jarrod kicked one of them and said, "Stop grossing me out!"

What a headache!

I admitted, I did fawn over him a bit for my plan, but hearing it from them made me sound like a creepy stalker.

I squinted at Jarrod and scoffed, "With your lack of abs and pecs? Not even worth a second glance."

Jarrod looked surprised, then seemed to have an epiphany, saying, "Oh, you're playing the game of attraction?"

I decided to be honest, saying, "Honestly, I wasn't after you. I want to be your sister-in-law!"

My words stunned not only Jarrod but also his friends.

Jarrod, however, was unfazed and said to his buddies, "Do you believe her? I bet a thousand dollars she'll be begging for my forgiveness within a month!" with that, he arrogantly turned and left.

I was fuming! Hope Jarrod end up alone forever!

How could two brothers from the same family be so different? Colin, the aloof CEO, and Jarrod, the complete playboy, but rumor had it, the these brothers didn't have the good relationship.

Just as I was thinking this, a voice suddenly came from behind me, "You want to be his sister-in-law?"

I nearly jumped out of my skin.

It was Colin.

When did he get here? and how much of the conversation had he overheard?

I leaned into Colin, tracing circles on his firm chest.

"Why else do you think I invited you here?" I asked.

"So, what do you want?" Colin said.

"I want..." I replied.

Oops, I spoke too soon!

"Then what are we waiting for?" Colin said.

I couldn't help but smile, hook, line, and sinker.

We went to the reserved room, and I watched him raise his hand to unbutton his shirt, revealing his solid chest and perfect eight-pack abs, and then I couldn't help but swallow hard.

The sound echoed was loud in the quiet room, and my face turned red immediately.

Colin chuckled softly, touching my cheek, and said, "Why just watch me undress? You should too," with that, he reached to help me with my clothes.

I stood up, wrapped my arms around his neck, and dodged his hands on my clothes, and then I whispered in his ear, saying, "Why the rush? I only said I wanted you to come here to the hot springs, not in the same pool."

"Lucien, let's get a divorce," I said in a peremptory tone that was long overdue, the most decisive farewell to this absurd marriage. We had been married for exactly three years-three years that, for me, were filled with nothing but endless loneliness and torment. For three years, the husband who should have stood by my side through every storm, Lucien Sullivan, had completely disappeared from my life as if he had never existed. He vanished without a trace, leaving me alone to endure this empty, desolate marriage. Today, I finally received his message: "I'm back. Come pick me up at the airport." When I read his words, my heart leapt with joy, and I raced to the airport, thinking that he finally understood my love and was coming back to me. But his cruelty was far worse than I could have ever imagined-he was accompanied by a pregnant woman, and that woman was Carla, my closest and most trusted friend. In that moment, all of my previous excitement, all my hope, and all of our shared laughter and tears turned into the sharpest of daggers, stabbing into my heart and leaving me gasping for air. Now, all I want is to escape from this place that has left me so broken-to lick my wounds in solitude. Even if these wounds will remain with me for the rest of my life, I refuse to have anything to do with him ever again. He should know that it was his own hand that trampled our love underfoot, that his coldness and betrayal created this irreparable situation. But when he heard those words, he desperately clung to this broken, crumbling marriage, unwilling to let it end-almost as though doing so could rewind time and return everything to how it used to be. "Aurora, come back. I regret everything!" Regret? Those simple words stirred no emotion in me-only endless sadness and fury. My heart let out a frantic, desperate scream: It's too late for any of this!
