Chapter 1 The Beginning

"Shift!" I commanded.

The wolf before me transformed into a skinny lean man of about 20 years.

"Where am I?" he asked, wearily.

"Did you think you could cross my pack boundary undetected?" I smiled at him, making him surprised because I am not known for smiling.

"I.......um..... I didn't mean to do so", I swear! he said. "Oh really, so you walked into the Blood-moon territory by mistake?"I shouted, making him flinch at how harsh I sounded.

"The Blood-moon pack? l ran away from my old pack. I didn't know where I was going, I promise". He replied.

"Shut up. Filthy Rogue". I replied.

"I'm sorry, I......" He was still talking when I slit his throat with my dagger. I hate rogues.

"Throw his body at the pack boundary to serve as a warning to any rogue". I said to my men.

They quickly came and took his body away as I ordered. An alpha's work is never done.

I turned around and walked away from the cells while smirking at the thought of the way crimson blood flowed from the neck of the stupid rogue I just slaughtered.

Everyone knew me as Lucas Desilva. The Alpha of the Blood-moon Pack. I took over as the alpha after I challenged my father to a duel when I was 16.

My father died at my hands after I snapped his neck in my wolf form during the duel.

Walking into my office, I met my beta Enzo waiting for me.

"Good morning Alpha," he said while bowing slightly. No one is allowed to look me in the eyes.

"Enzo, how was a rogue able to cross our pack territory?" I asked him.

"I'm sorry Alpha. The head of the pack guards had to rush to meet his wife who was in labour for their pups. I don't think he had time to reassign someone to his duty post." he replied.

"So you're telling me that he left the pack boundary unguarded because his hoe was giving birth to stupid pups?!" I shouted in anger.

"Inform the pack guards that there is a new opening for the post of head guard and take the incompetent wolf to the cells," I said.

"But Alpha, he..." "Are you trying to question me Enzo?" I asked.

"Of course not Alpha. I'll get on your orders right away." he quickly answered and dashed out.

I went back to my desk and shut my eyes. I felt some hands on my chest. Only one person can do that without being killed. My slut-Alexa.

From the Alpha of the Crescent pack: Alpha Thomas Green "That's all Alpha" replied the omega. "You may leave," I said. He bowed and left quickly almost missing his step. Looks like I have a ball to attend. I don't understand why the council insists on these stupid balls. They keep saying it helps to foster unity among the wolf packs and also an opportunity for the unmated wolves to find their mates, but I don't need unity from any pack neither do I need a mate.
