My girlfriend Li Mei was showing off her "fishing tricks" in her group chat with her close friends: "Come on, look at my ATM, and see how I make men spend money on me." Then she shared the record of when I sent her red envelopes while she was complaining about being broke. The group exploded: "That's not much money!" Li Mei was a bit unsatisfied: "Even a fly's leg is meat! By the way, this guy is quite generous; he gave me a lot." Then, she posted a record of another man transferring her 5,200 yuan. Me: ???

Chapter 1

Kallie was showing off her "how to reel in a man" tricks in her close friends' chat group: "Come, take a look at my cash cow, see how I get men to spend money on me."

Then, she posted screenshots of the times I sent her money when she pretended to be broke.

The group exploded: "That's not much money."

Kallie, a bit defiant, replied, "Every little bit counts.

Oh, and this one's generous, he gives a lot."

She then shared another screenshot of a man transferring her 5200 yuan.

Me: ???

In the bridal shop, everyone was paired up, except for me, standing alone.

A few couples were flipping through photo albums, sneaking glances at me.

Feeling uncomfortable, I got up and walked outside, pulling out my phone to text Kallie, asking how much longer she'd be.

After finishing two cigarettes, she still hadn't replied.

I decided to call her directly.

Unexpectedly, she hung up.

Then she texted me: "Sorry, honey, something came up at school, can't choose today~"

What the heck?

What was she doing earlier?

Kallie was about to graduate with her master's degree. Three years ago, I moved to this city to work hard for her.

Over these three years, I climbed from an intern engineer to a project leader.

I worked tirelessly to pay her tuition and ensure she lived well at school.

As for me, as long as I had enough to eat, it didn't matter if my clothes were worn out.

I'm currently working on a project, and once it's completed, I'll receive a substantial bonus.

I planned to surprise her with this news.

According to our plan, once she graduated, we would get married.

We were supposed to choose a wedding dress today and confirm the date for our wedding photos.

But once again, she stood me up.

This wasn't the first time.

In the past month or two, she's stood me up countless times.

There were several occasions when we planned to have dinner together, and she just canceled.

She used to stay over at my place every weekend, but it's been two or three weeks since she last came...

With today's incident, I felt something was off.

I held back my anger and asked her, "When will you be done?

I'll bring you lunch?"

"No need, honey.

I'm with some classmates in the dorm writing our thesis, too busy. We'll just eat at the cafeteria when we're done."

I took a deep drag from my cigarette, threw it to the ground, and stomped it out.

Then, I drove straight to Kallie's school.

Standing outside her dorm, I hesitated whether to call her to see if she was there.

Just then, someone called out to me. I turned to see one of her roommates, returning from the cafeteria.

From a distance, she shouted, "Hey, buddy, Kallie's not in the dorm. What are you doing here?"

"Oh, just bringing her something..."

I mumbled, confirming Kallie wasn't in the dorm.

Thankfully, the girl didn't ask further.

I stormed to the school gate, and just as I stepped out, I saw a figure ahead that looked like Kallie.

I paused, hiding behind a tree to get a better look. It was indeed her!

At that moment, she was swaying her hips seductively, nestled in another man's arms!

Kallie was on tiptoe, kissing that man goodbye.

As they kissed, he held her waist, his hands roaming all over her.

That shameless woman!

Those despicable lovebirds!

There was a brick at my feet, and in my rage, I wanted to pick it up and smash their heads in.

Damn it, I wanted to beat them senseless!

Just then, I heard the man laugh, "Your boyfriend really loves you!

He waited so long and didn't even get mad."

"He's so annoying, I can't shake him off!"

My fury felt like it had been doused with a bucket of ice water, leaving me cold to the core.

I regained my composure and abandoned the idea of picking up the brick.

The man continued to say things that made me sick.

"If that's the case, don't worry about him coming to find you at school. I'll drive you somewhere more fun. We didn't get enough earlier, let's have another round?"

"No way, you're so bad~" Kallie said, playfully hitting the man's chest with her fists, her voice coy and flirtatious.

My anger, just extinguished, flared up again.

At that moment, I had only one thought: teach them a lesson!

If I couldn't destroy them, I'd make their lives miserable!

Then, I saw the man's face clearly.

It was him!
