Chapter 1 Unwelcome Eyes

Amber stared at her computer screen, the numbers on the spreadsheet blurring together. She couldn't focus. It had been one of those mornings, where every little thing grated on her nerves. But when her boss's voice crackled over the intercom, a new wave of anxiety rippled through her.

"Amber, can you step into my office for a minute?"

She swallowed, quickly smoothing down her blouse and making her way down the hallway. David's office door was ajar, his expression serious as he gestured for her to close it behind her.

"What's going on?" she asked, forcing a lightness she didn't feel.

"Amber... I just got a call from Mr. Nelson." David's voice was careful, his eyes avoiding hers. "He said he saw a car parked at your place today. A black sedan, unfamiliar. It was there for hours."

Her breath caught. Today? But she had been at work all morning. What car was he talking about?

"Mr. Nelson?" she echoed, her mind racing. "Why is he even paying attention to my place?"

David sighed, leaning forward on his desk. "You know how he is-always sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. But he said it's not the first time he's noticed it. Last week, and the week before that. Each time when Sam wasn't home."

Amber's heart thudded in her chest. "Sam hasn't been working lately, David. He's been... taking some time off." She swallowed, but her mouth felt dry. "If Mr. Nelson's so interested, why didn't he just come over and ask?"

David gave a rueful smile. "Because he's not interested in talking, Amber. He's interested in stirring up trouble."

Her hands fisted at her sides. Sam had insisted on staying home the past few weeks, claiming he needed a break. That he wanted to support her more while she was busy at the office. But lately, she'd been the one working late hours-coming home to find him still lounging around in his sweats, watching TV or scrolling aimlessly through his phone.

"Did Mr. Nelson say... did he see Sam at all?" Amber's voice was a whisper now.

David shook his head. "No. That's why he called me. He said it looked like the car was there with no one around... like someone was waiting. He didn't want to overstep, but he thought you should know."

Amber forced herself to nod. "I appreciate it, but I'm sure it's nothing. Probably a friend or a delivery."

"Amber..." David's gaze softened, but there was something searching in his eyes. "Jacob's not perfect, but he's family. If you ever need help-"

"David, really." She cut him off, her smile too tight, too forced. "It's nothing."

But as she left his office, her mind spun. Sam had been at home all day, or so he'd told her. But if Mr. Nelson was right... if there was

a car parked at their place all morning, and Sam wasn't around-She shook her head. No, it couldn't be.

Yet, a nagging suspicion settled in her chest, making it hard to breathe.

What was Sam hiding from her? And who was in that car?

She needed answers-fast. Before Jacob's rumors turned into something much worse. Before they turned into the truth.

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.

MY MASTERS

MY MASTERS

For as long as Emily can remember, she has wanted to overcome her shyness and explore her sexuality. Still, everything changes when she receives an invitation to visit one of the town's most prestigious BDSM clubs, DESIRE'S DEN. On the day she chose to peruse the club, she noticed three men, all dressed in suits, standing on the upper level, near the railing. Despite her limited vision, she persisted in fixating on them. Their towering statues belied the toned bodies concealed by their sharply tailored suits-or so she could tell. The hair of two of them was short and dark, and the third had light brown-possibly blond-hair that reached the shoulders. The dark, crimson background incised their figures, exuding an air of mystery and strength. They stood in stark contrast to the unfiltered, primal energy that pulsed through the club. Shocked by the desires these men aroused in her, she was disappointed to learn that they were masters seeking a slave to divide and conquer. She couldn't afford the fee, and she also realized that they were outside her league. Emily hurriedly left the club, feeling disappointed and depressed, unaware that she had also caught the group's attention. A world of wicked pleasure, three handsome men. Over the years, they have lived a life of decadence, their lavish lair serving as a stage for their most sinister desires. But despite the unending parade of willing subjects, one woman sticks out. A mysterious stranger with white porcelain skin and a killer body, a slave, a name with no address, the first lady to attract their eye and they will go to any length to obtain her no matter the consequences.
