Chapter 1 A Night to Remember
Noah entered the high-end club, hoping to liberate himself from his family's pressure. The vibration, the rhythm, and the strobes about him engaged him.
He took a seat at the counter, ordered some whiskey, and surveyed the room. That is where he laid his eyes on her - oceanic splendid green eyes and raven hair along with an inviting smile.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" Noah asked lifting his voice low.
She turned her head and their eyes met. "Not at all."
The words rolled between them without any probability of interruption.
"I can't believe you saw me," she said with a mischievous smile.
'Drawbacks of fabulousness,' Noah almost laughed. 'There is no way a man can miss you.'
When they began to dance, the electricity in the air surged above all expectations.
"What's your name?" Noah inquired, his voice slightly thick.
Her smile carried a hint of darkness. "You will never remember it."
Noah laughed. "I will ensure that I will."
The exterior weather changed as the cold wind embraced them. Colliding her on the wall, she was kissed by him. Everything froze.
"Let's leave this place," he said in a low tone.
Yet, she was gone in the darkness leaving Noah shocked.
The day after, Noah was called by his father.
"NOAH, COULDN'T LOCK THE DOOR AND THE WINDOW FATHER, MORGANA'S WAY," Richard Blackwood said, leaving little to the imagination.
"I stopped for a consideration. Why didn't anybody bother me so far?" Noah said.
"You are engaged to Aria Dawson."
Noah's eyes grew significantly wider as he registered the statement. "Aria Dawson? I don't even know her!'"
Richard made it impossible to negotiate. "Soon you shall."
Noah felt like a rewritten history harbored from all its subjects.
On the other hand, a message popped into Aria's phone which was from her father:
"Report to the house. It's time we had a few words regarding your prospects."
Aria could only feel despair.
When she came to the house, her father told her the shocking information.
"Aria, you are to wed Noah Blackwood."
Aria gasped in surprise. "Noah Blackwood? But that's -"
"I know dear. It is all organized."
Aria was becoming dizzy.
Is this the destiny she has been waiting for?
However, even when Noah was planning his marriage with a straight-faced 'bride', the image of the woman did not leave him for some time.
Could it be, this woman, Aria Dawson?
Inevitably, costs being what they are, Noah initiated his inquiries.
What he wasn't aware of was that their destinies were cut from the same cloth.
