Chapter 1 You are a Virgin

"How much do you charge per night?" A man's voice spoke up as the Audi pulled over at the side of the road.

Charlotte took a step backwards as she had almost missed her steps trying to get out of the way so it wouldn't hit her.

"Sorry??" She asked, puzzled. She must have not heard right.

"Do not waste my time,"

"Hehe, you're mistaken sir. Ummm. I am not what you think-"

"Get in," the man interrupted her.

Charlotte blinked twice. It was raining cats and dogs and she possibly couldn't continue standing under the rain. It's past twelve midnight and she has been standing here for hours waiting for the night bus. She clenched her purse hard, bit her lips. With a swift movement, she helped herself get in the passenger seat.

The man hit the ignition and they zoomed out of sight.

"Boss, Hotel De Saints or Ignatius Loyola Hotel?" The words of the man from early before brought Charlotte back to reality. She'd been busy with her cellphone.

She looked sideways, for the first time she noticed the second man whom the first man regarded as boss. Her body froze and her fingers trembled. He'd been quiet, sitting next to the driver.

From the side mirror, she caught the smirk on his well chiseled face.

"My crib," the second man said.

"Ok boss,"

Charlotte felt chills down her spine. They mistook her for one of those night workers whose stop was at the junction she was standing. She'd have to play along. She thought.

After a lot of twirls and turns, the car finally halted.

The driver stepped out and opened the door for his boss, doing the same for Charlotte. She hesitated and then finally stepped out.

"Follow him," the driver said to her as he helped her with her coat. Charlotte ran after the boss who had taken several powerful strides to the grand entrance of his mansion. On a normal day, she'd stand stunned, marveling at the magnificence of the house. When he said crib, she had thought of a literal crib. This is a castle, she thought.

Following him up through, they settled at the master bedroom. She had bumped into maids who must be retiring to bed after the day's work.

LOSING her virginity was part of this year's to-do list. Losing it to a total stranger was the idea. And in this manner, after tonight, he probably won't recognize me. She thought as she sprawled on the bed ready to take him.

The thoughts ran through her mind. She's been a good girl for the past twenty-five years, after her last break up. Her resolutions were a bit off. But she is for sure done with love.

The man went more gently than she had expected. Carefully, he devoured her like they'd know each other before. Like they were in love. She let out a moan. Grabbing him tight as it hurt at the start.

Soon she relaxed and let him have what she had kept for so long, only to be treated like trash by men.

It will be over soon, she told herself.

She winced as he paused abruptly, locking in her eyes with his, she could see him in the dimly lit room. The heat radiating from the bodies began to cool off.

"You are a virgin?"

She felt a lump in her throat, she could not find the words to respond to his rhetoric question.

He kissed her forehead, covered her with the sheets and fell on his back on the other side of the bed. He snored off.

"MISS..."

"Charlotte," she added. They had no idea what their names were as the only thing they'd exchanged last night was body fluids.

"Miss Charlotte, where will I be dropping you off at?" The man asked as he made a swerve at the bent corner.

They were so exhausted that the sun was out before they got out of bed.

"At the City Hospital," Charlotte replied with discomfort obvious in her voice.

He tuned up the volume of the car's stereo, as he adjusted his shades. He wasn't in a black serious suit like yesterday night, he was wearing a t-shirt and shorts.

Charlotte looked at herself from the side mirror outside, she had changed into a pair of joggers and hoodie which belonged to him. His driver promised to send her clothes over to her address once they had been dry cleaned. She left him a note of her address.

Charlotte haved a sigh of relief as the car halted in the hospital's premise.

"Out," the man said.

"Huh?" She was perplexed by his sudden outburst. She hurriedly got down, holding on tight to her purse.

"Oh your tip," he scratched his head. "Here's my business card, I'll send it."

Charlotte's eyes blazed with fire as she raged on with anger but she held onto her sanity. She felt the urge to jump right into the car and strangle this arrogant man. Her mouth twitched in self control. Biting her lips slightly, she forced herself and stretched her hand to take the card from him.

He could not even wait for her to step away from the car before reversing the car thereby splashing dirty water on the nude colored fit he lent her.

"Wesley Jameson..." She read the name on the card as she felt the hardness of the surface. The company on the card didn't ring a bell. He is the Vice President of whatever company he works for. Good for him.

With steady angry steps she raged into the hospital, refusing to greet the Nurses in her usual cheerful manner.

As she approached the familiar ward, she slowed down a bit. She paused. Taking in a deep breath, she pulled the doorknob open.

"Charlotte," her mother's shaky voice resounded. She laid on her sick bed, motioning to touch her child but the tubes restricted her. It's been almost a week.

"Mom," she took steady strides and embraced her mum gently with teary eyes.

"It's been a while mom, I'm really sorry I left you for so long..."
