But wait, did David just say that Ethan placed a bet of five million dollars??? I knew David didn't have the money to match that stake and I could feel an icy hand start climbing up my spine. If he played that game, what did he place as stake to match it? Anxiety suffocated and clawed at my chest. The tension in the room was palpable as I tried to make out what could've been David's bet. What if he had staked our house? Where would we go? "What did you stake?" I finally got the courage to ask him His eyes avoided mine and I could feel that something was wrong. "David, what did you stake?" I asked again, this time a bit more pushy than the first time. The silence was deafening. I turned to look at Ethan who was looking at David as if he too was waiting for David to say it from his own mouth. After what seemed like an eternity of silence, Ethan finally spoke up. He turned to me and said it bluntly to my face with no emotion whatsoever on his face, "You. He placed you as his stake," Ethan remarked. I could see his grin come back to his face as he turned and looked at David I couldn't believe my ears. This had to be a prank. There was no way that David would hate me so much that he would place me, his own wife, as a stake in a game of poker. I felt like I lost my sense of hearing. I looked at David in disbelief thinking of what I could've done to possibly deserve this. What happens when the man who Emily married plays a high stakes game of poker and looser her to a billionaire?

Chapter 1 Meet David, My Husband.

Emily's POV

I was in the kitchen, and had just finished setting the table when the front door swung open. A gust of cold wind blew past me, and I could hear him grunting as he made his way into the house. He was the epitome of my nightmares and the reason as to why I have not enjoyed my life for the past four years. David was his name.

"Emily," he called out from the door, and I heard his bag drop to the ground. His voice sounded cold but steady. Phew, at least today he wasn't drunk.

"Emily! Where is this filthy woman?" he asked while I tried to make my way to the front door. When his eyes met mine, I could tell that tonight was going to be like all the other nights.

A night of terror and pain. From his contorted face and disgusted look, I knew that he wasn't that much successful in tonight's game of gambling. I rushed to his side, ready to take his coat but was met with a backhanded slap that sent me reeling to the ground.

He had connected with my right cheek and it burned from impact. I could feel the taste of iron starting to fill my mouth, sure that I had sustained a cut in my mouth. I whimpered as I tried to turn to look at him from the ground.

"I leave you in the house with little or no work, and you take up to five business days to come and welcome me back to my own home!" he roared, his voice tainted with mockery and spite.

As he stood there towering over me, I could feel the tears well up in my eyes but I tried my best to hold them at bay. Crying now would only send him into a rage frenzy for 'ruining his already ruined day' as he would term it.

" I'm s...sorry," I managed to say in a whimper as I tried to get back to my feet. All that I got was a hard stare as he stepped over me headed to the kitchen.

"I hope that you've made good food and not the garbage that you always cook," he mumbled as he headed to the dinning room. Knowing what would come if I wasted time feeling sorry for myself on the ground, I quickly jolted to my feet and ran to serve him his food. I served him the food and stood there watching him as I waited for his take on my cooking.

One might have thought that I was a slave waiting to be dismissed. You wouldn't be wrong either way. That was the definition of my marriage life to David.

"Are you just going to stand there or you'll make yourself useful in this house?" he rumbled as he brought the spoon to his mouth for a first bite. I hadn't even turned around to make myself scarce from his presence, when I heard the shattering of the plate that I had served him on. The sound of the plate shattering on the floor made me jump as I turned to face him and that's when I saw it.

The plate with all of it's contents had been sprayed onto the floor and David was looking at me with bloodshot eyes that bore right through me. With his gaze fixed on me, he was busy wiping the taste of food in his mouth with the napkin that I had placed beside him. He clinched his fists in frustration and I could see the rage build up inside him.

A sense of foreboding filled the air as I knew what was to come. Chaos. My heart raced and I gasped when he turned the table over to the side, sending everything that was on top of it across the room. I took a step back, but I knew that this wasn't going to help. I wanted to turn and run, but where was I suppose to go? To add on, it was almost midnight.

"Are you trying to poison me with your food?" he spat out angrily as he advanced towards me. His nostrils flared as his face contorted and the wrinkles on his face became more visible.

"But---"

"But what?" he interjected as I tried to defend myself, but the only thing that came out of my mouth was an apology. I didn't know why I was apologizing because I had triple checked and the food was cooked well. As if he just wanted a reason to beat me to a pulp as it had become his habit, I had no other choice but try to beg for mercy.

My pleas fell on deaf ears as he came after me grabbing me by the throat with one hand, and brutally slapping me across the face with the other countless times till I lost count. My head felt dizzy and all I could see were stars as I fell to the ground as his grip loosened. I whimpered in pain as his foot connected with my stomach as I lay on the ground knocking all of the wind from my lungs.

"Please David," I pleaded in a desperate attempt to appeal to the little bit of humanity that he had left. All I got was a grunt as he went to the kitchen, picked up a glass full of water, came over and poured it on me.

"You are a useless pathetic bitch. You can't cook right, you can't clean right, you can barely fuck right," he spewed as he poured the ice cold water on my face. Still reeling from the pain that he had inflicted on me, he added, "You are lucky that I married you. No one would take you into their own house as a wife if not me! Be happy that I still allow you to stay with me."

Those words felt like someone had lunged a knife into my chest and was twisting it slowly. This was the same man who had said 'I do' at the alter five years ago on our wedding, with a smile plastered on his face.

My once source of happiness was now the very man that I loathed with every single part of my being. You might be wondering why I still stay with him despite all this. Well, I'll gladly tell you about how I met David, the husband that I was married to and loved very much. A much different person from the one that left me on the kitchen floor dampened with water and nursing wounds on my face.

For as long as Emily can remember, she has wanted to overcome her shyness and explore her sexuality. Still, everything changes when she receives an invitation to visit one of the town's most prestigious BDSM clubs, DESIRE'S DEN. On the day she chose to peruse the club, she noticed three men, all dressed in suits, standing on the upper level, near the railing. Despite her limited vision, she persisted in fixating on them. Their towering statues belied the toned bodies concealed by their sharply tailored suits-or so she could tell. The hair of two of them was short and dark, and the third had light brown-possibly blond-hair that reached the shoulders. The dark, crimson background incised their figures, exuding an air of mystery and strength. They stood in stark contrast to the unfiltered, primal energy that pulsed through the club. Shocked by the desires these men aroused in her, she was disappointed to learn that they were masters seeking a slave to divide and conquer. She couldn't afford the fee, and she also realized that they were outside her league. Emily hurriedly left the club, feeling disappointed and depressed, unaware that she had also caught the group's attention. A world of wicked pleasure, three handsome men. Over the years, they have lived a life of decadence, their lavish lair serving as a stage for their most sinister desires. But despite the unending parade of willing subjects, one woman sticks out. A mysterious stranger with white porcelain skin and a killer body, a slave, a name with no address, the first lady to attract their eye and they will go to any length to obtain her no matter the consequences.
