Chapter 1 Visiting

"Pi!" called out a girl who was sitting at a table in a coffee shop.

The handsome man who was still wearing a slim-fit shirt that showed off his perfectly sculpted body was now walking towards her. Not forgetting after hearing his name called, the man immediately put on a smile.

Shereen, stood up from her sofa and spread her arms for a hug. Shereen had not seen Piero, her best friend who was a handsome young businessman who was also her ex-boyfriend. Piero and Shereen finally decided to become friends after the girl felt annoyed because Piero could never be taken seriously. In fact, Shereen had told Piero if she wanted to get married young.

But unfortunately the man who is two years older than her chose to keep himself busy building his business. Piero didn't have much time for the girl and eventually even made Shereen have an affair with another man. Piero was clearly upset, but there was no way he could stay away from the girl he loved so much. They agreed to break up, only to change their status to a pair of friends. Because she basically couldn't stay away from Piero either, the man was already very trusted by She's parents. They even often leave she to him, even though she now has a boyfriend. Although Shereen's dating age with her lover named Axelle was only entering the age of one year, but She's parents still trusted Piero more than Axelle.

"Hey!" Piero immediately hugged She tightly.

Piero, who She always called Pi, always loved her. Even though they had been separated for a long time. But She spent more time with Pi than with Axelle, her own lover.

"Have you arrived earlier?" Piero asked She who had just finished breaking She's hug that he missed so much.

They hadn't seen each other for almost two weeks because Piero was on a project. He had to go out of town. So, Shereen invited him to meet today. She had missed her best friend and former lover very much. Since they broke up they still used greetings like lovers. Even sometimes they still like to call her sweetheart when it's just the two of them.

"I missed you so much," She said once Piero was sitting next to her.

"Missed?" the man asked with a smile.

Teasing She was a pleasure for the handsome man. Actually, his heart was still beating fast every time She told him she missed him first. He was too happy to hear that she missed him whenever she was away from him for a long time.

"Well, even my parents keep asking about you. Why isn't Piero coming? Mom says he misses you. He wants the cookies you brought her," She said, babbling at length.

"Which do you miss more? Daddy Mommy to me or you to me?" Piero smiled immediately wanting to know which one missed him more.

"Probably the same," She looked away.

Every time Piero looked at her with that look, it made his heart skip a beat. She really couldn't say that she was fine, if Pi looked at her like that. It felt like he wanted to rush to the altar then.

"Oh, come on! Just confess!" said Piero who immediately leaned his body after he had laughed enough at the beautiful girl who was now looking flushed from his question.

"Pi, stop it! You must already know my answer." She blinked her eyes.

Trying to hold back her embarrassment because Piero was teasing her.

Piero and She ended up at the girl's parents' house. Shereen got out of the man's car and immediately waited for Piero who opened the back trunk. Bringing some souvenirs to give to her mom. Every time they went to her parents' house, Shereen and Piero were like a married couple visiting their parents' house that they had not been to for a long time. They would come with food and snacks that the girl's parents liked.

"Mom! Dad! Shereen's home!" said the girl who called out to her parents after opening the main door of the large house that was now inhabited by her parents and three household assistants who were staying overnight.

The other assistants were given their own place to maintain the family's privacy.

"Looks like they're not around, She." Piero squinted, casting his eyes around the house which seemed to be devoid of people.

One of their household assistants came and greeted them as soon as she heard their young lady's voice.

"Miss She, coming?" asked Deby, who was the head assistant in her parents' big house.

"Hi Deby, where's my mom and dad?" asked She who then smiled at the young girl whose age was not that far from her.

Maybe only three years younger than She, so that's why She can directly call her by name without other formal greetings.

"Mr. and Mrs. Georgia are going to Italy. They left just this morning." Deby said.

"It's rare that mommy don't talk to me. How long will they be gone? What did they say?" She was disappointed to hear that her parents were not at home.

While she had already come. She had also brought her favorite cake which of course, only Piero would bring to them. Indeed, She and Pi did not say anything if they wanted to visit the girl's parents. But it was certain that if it was like this, She would be sad. Yes, even though She was already living and living independently in her luxury apartment. But still, if there were no parents like now she felt a little uncomfortable.

"Madam said that she will be back here the day after tomorrow. He usually informs Mr. Piero of him departure. Did they not say you were leaving this time?" Deby asked again, but the question was directed at the handsome man who she knew was trusted by her employer to look after her only child, Shereen.

"No, I didn't know at all. That's why, as soon as Shereen asked me to drop her off. I immediately agreed." The man said with a smile.

"Alright... Pi just take me back to the apart. I'm going home then," said She who then smiled.

"Ok, Boss!" Piero smiled and gave a sign of respect to the girl who looked sad about not meeting her parents.

"This is food for mom and dad. Please keep it. Tell them this is Piero's cake. The one in the purple paper bag, please share it." She gave him the paper bag that she had been holding.

"Yes, Miss. Thank you," Deby smiled when she heard that she got the cake for herself and her friends to eat.

"You're welcome ... then, I'll go home first. I'll call my mom later." She immediately pulled Piero's hand and took his arm.

"Yes, Miss, Sir ... be careful!" Deby said as Shereen said goodbye to her.

Deby led Shereen and Piero to the terrace. She turned around and went back into the house as soon as he drove away in his car.

"You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
